Perfect for my mom
I got this radio for my mom, whom I'm the caregiver for. She hates TV and lives the talk radio stations. The other radio she had was nothing but static and hard to tube. This is a great size, lightweight and small footprint. It's so easy to tune and read. There is no static and the voices come in loud and clear, not funny or mumbled like her last radio. It's a simple design which is perfect for my elderly mom, few buttons and dials. It took her just a minute to figure it out. This is my 4th try at finding the perfect radio. I sent 3 back but this one is a keeper. Quality, built to last and easy operation, clear and loud.

Good radio. Highly recommend.
I purchased this radio September 2022. I use this radio every morning while getting ready for work and on the weekend while getting ready for the day. Has a good clear sound. I am purchasing a second one for my granddaughter, for her bathroom.

No nonsense am/fm/sw radio
I'm not sure what to expect from the sw band that this radio supports; I couldn't tune in anything when I tried for a bit, but otherwize, the radio suits me, and my expectations to a tee. It has adequate volume, adequate sound quality, ease of use, and an LCD clock easy to read from across a room when turned "off" and plugged in. I haven't added batteries and might not ever. It's plugged in in my garage "shop" area, and so far I'm very happy with it. The tuning is interesting....it is a manual tuning knob with a digital readout, not an automated digital tuning type which is so prevalent in these times. So it will try to tune in faint signals as well as very strong ones, which I find pleasing. I wouldn't drop it, since it just might "end" it being made of hi-impact polystyrene which fractures easily, which is it's weak spot.

Works Nicely
Likes...easy to use. Comes in clear..can be loud if you prefer. Price was right.Dislikes..would have preferred AA batteries instead of D...but not a problem

Better than advertised!!!
As advertised!! Purchased for my senior disabled veteran friend. He loves it! The round dials are large and easy to manage. Has jack for headphones, runs on batteries so portable as well as plug in the wall. Excellent value for the money! Highly recommend!

Just OK - Just Went BAD... TOTALLY
UPDATE May 25, 2023For a while, I've tuned "blind" for local AM/FM stations. This morning, the radio went totally went dead. What a piece of Chinese JUNK! AVOID!UPDATE November 14, 2022 -The digital frequency/clock display has just died (cannot see). At times, you can see if faintly if you view it 'off axis' as in looking up from the bottom of the radio. I will consider this a piece of Communist Chinese junk unless the seller reads this and offers a replacement. I looked all over for a "ask seller a question" like but to no avail. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!Well, it works and sounds pretty good. This unit picks up local AM and FM radio stations. The short-wave section also picks up stations but exhibits interference from out of band signals, which is strange because we have few if any strong signals that would cause such problems. This radio is easy to operate. I note that the frequency counter (the digits on the front panel that attempts to show you the frequency the radio is tuned to) is not very accurate. For example, when listening to a local station on 730 AM, when the station is properly tuned in/sounds best, the digital readout says 732. I noticed the same thing on FM where 95.3 sounds better when tuned to 95.4.This radio is advertised as a "DSP" radio. I'm sure it is but it sure is a cheap/faulty implementation of digital signal processing. Case in point is seen when trying to listen to weak stations. When trying to listen to a station on 800 KHz, this radio involuntarily shifts between two or three competing signals. I can't tell whether these are on adjacent frequencies (like 790 and 810) or the radio is gathering samples from multiple signals on the same frequency. My read is that this radio uses a very poor DSP chip. It would have been far better to use a more conventional superheterodyne circuit, although that might cost more to implement these days.Would I buy this radio again? No! Should you buy it, probably, but it's really not a great bargain. I notice other radios without the digital readout for $10 less. They'd probably work just as good.

Signal strengths matter
This is an okay radio for the price, if you live in an urban environment where radio signals are strongest. I live in an exurb of the ATL which results in this unit breathing hard to bring in most signals, especially on the AM or the other band widths. But, you get what you pay for as we all know. For just over $20, it’s about what I expected. Also after putting in 4 Class D batteries, it failed to turn on, requiring a plug in with no instructions on how to power on in any mode. That’s shady treatment by the manufacturer.I recently bought a Bose Wave used radio that had none of these issues but the Bose was 10x more expensive so again without repeating myself. Why did I buy this radio you ask?I figured it to be a nice option to have available if the power goes out or God forbid, a national emergency. Maybe the batteries will work sans a plug in. I am charging it overnight to see if that’s a remedy but am not optimistic. So, buyer beware or buyer be advised. Your choice as I’m good with either advisory .
