Had to replace my old 7-way trailer junction box after I did a full Olympic-level trip over the winch power plug. Snapped the old one like a twig. This one? Much sturdier—and a big upgrade all around.Install was super straightforward, with clearly marked terminals that even a distracted weekend warrior like me could follow. The box itself is solid, and the rubber grommets give it a nice weather-resistant seal so I’m not out there re-wiring every time it rains sideways.Also love that it makes future upgrades or troubleshooting a breeze—no more mystery spaghetti wires flapping in the wind. Everything’s clean, tidy, and locked down.If you’ve got trailer wiring chaos (or a talent for tripping over plugs), this box is the fix you didn’t know you needed.

This is a good, solid 7-way junction box. I've probably installed well over 100 of these in various versions. This box is a great value. It comes with plenty of extra grommets, and all of the internal hardware needed. The clamping strap is plastic and it pulled the screw head through when I was clamping down on the incoming cord. I added small washers and was careful not to over torque. Metal would probably be better. The lid also only fits on one way. Not a horrible issue, but sometimes these boxes are in less than accessible areas and trying to put the cover on that fits, bit won't fasten one way can be frustrating. The internal terminals seem strong and didn't break when torqued. I'm very pleased with the price. Only time will tell on the box strength. My previous one lasted 6 years. Fingers crossed this will endure the sun and road wash.

Nice heavy wire when today everything is so cheap

I had an absolutely mess of electrical on a 30 year old truck. This box allowed me connect the original wires from the truck, a 4 pin connection, 6 pin connection and a 7 pin connection on a 30 year old truck.

Overall, great product for the price. Made it easy to install the 7-way pigtail. As a retired industrial maintenance electronics technician. I can fully appreciate the product. Been looking for a similar product for quite a while.I used various diameters of heat shrink to to bundle the wires. Heat shrink goes inside the product.There is plenty of room for wire placement.For my particular installation, I had to lengthen the wires from the trailer end. Set that up first and made sure to use the colors in this product.Tested with a IPA Light Ranger MUTT before final installation and checked out OK.The only cons: No locking nut(s) for the studs and the plastic wire clamps cannot take a lot of torque when tightening the screws.Otherwise, I'll recommend this product to anyone who has a similar setup.Used on a 6'x12' tandem axle dump trailer.
