Yellow/Green/Blue Tinge
As someone else has already discovered there is a peculiar effect when using this filter and one that I have never experienced in well over 30 years. There is a greenish/blueish' streak' for want of a better word under certain light conditions. I learnt from the other reviewer and purchased a Polaroid UV Filter. The problem was solved immediately. I can only assume it must be to do with the coating. Would have liked to given a higher star, but I have to be honest. Not that impressed - sorry.

Green-yellow tinge
Slight yellow-green tinge is a problem for colour photography. Easily visible by eye when looking at anything white with and without the filter. Packaging and presentation is very nice and looks premium but that's not what I'm interested in. There's no option to contact the seller; only to return the item, which for £7 with a long walk and all the hassle just isn't worth it. I have bought the Polaroid one for £1 extra.

A Winner
K&F do make some decent gear for the money I've found and this UV lens filter is no different. Honestly this is supremely well made with a high quality finish and a perception of a properly expensive bit of kit. Now, I do appreciate that the jury is out on whether a UV filter is or is not needed and on that subject I have no real feelings. What I do like though is that using a UV filter prevents damage - within reason - to my actual lens. Okay, I get the fact that if I drop my camera off the back of a truck it's not going to survive, but having that lens filter does stop minor scratches and abrasive dust. It also keeps my fingers away from the lens and being flat easy to clean thoroughly with a cloth.Overall a no brainer for me. I always put a UV filter on my lenses immediately upon purchase simply to add a bit of protection and K&F do some great ones for entirely reasonable money.

Are these Japan Optics?
I bought these believing they were of 'Japanese optical quality', which has been amongst the best in the world for some years. The filters are OK, although I thought I detected a very slight colour cast - but it is difficult to be sure.I decided to check the 'Japan Optics' claim and contacted Japan Optics, which is a Japanese/German/US company specialising in high quality rifle scopes. The guy I spoke to informed me that they do not produce any photographic products so either he was from the wrong division and uninformed or this claim is not correct - difficult to be sure.So treat the 'Japan Optics' claim with care. They seem OK though and I have had 2 on my lenses for some time now.

Excellent filters and very good prices
There are some very poor cheap filters, but not these these excellent K&F filters, at exceptional prices. The multicoating seems to be as good as many a more expensive filters, and the glass quality is very good, German optical glass. There is often some debate on whether to use protective filters on lenses, but I reckon they are good insurance from accidental damage or splashes, and easily removed if not wanted while shooting...like an optically clear lens cap.Happy to recommend these K&F filters, I've got several...

Amazing for the price - slight yellowing, vignette and a barely noticeable loss in sharpness
I got mine yesterday and said I would test out the performance with and without this filter, I have a vintage Minolta lens which was my grandad's so it is quite precious to me and I wanted to keep it from getting damaged, As the title says there is slight yellowing, vignette and a barely noticeable loss in sharpness that I can notice while looking at it on my computer screen, although the compressed pictures I have added may not show the full resolution of the original images.Let's break down what I have found:The yellowing - There is a slight yellow tint to this filter which makes sense, it's a UV filter so the shorter wavelength light may have some trouble getting through, This is no issue to me as it can easily be tweaked and fixed in software after to add a little extra blue, or this might give you better results in the field depending on your conditionsThe vignette - This is ever so slight but noticeable when looking at the same picture with the filter on and off, this again is no problem to me as it can be fixed or tweaked in software so that it is indistinguishableThe loss in sharpness - The loss in sharpness is barely noticeable even at 400% which is great, simply adding 1 percent more sharpening afterward makes this a complete non-issue for me. You have to be looking at the photo at 200% or above to notice any kind of loss and even at that, you will have to look hard. For what I paid for this filter I am happy knowing that it is not degrading my image in any meaningful way and that it will act as a shield and protect my glass from scratches and dust, I will be adding more of these for my lenses and will not be compelled to remove the filter to take a photo as I would be with others, Great product, Highly Recommend!

A QUALITY FILTER AT A GREAT PRICE
I've used a few K&F filters on my camera lenses and have never been disappointed with their quality or price. Made from quality optical glass, the UV filter leaves no colour cast or other imperfections on my images; put simply, what you shoot is what you get, just nice, clean images. This type of filter also serves a second purpose as a protection filter for your expensive lens. After all, it's cheaper to replace a filter than a lens, isn't it?Overall I'm very happy with my K&F Concept 46MM UV Filter Ultra Slim Japan Optics Multi Coated Ultraviolet Protection Lens Filter and have no hesitation in recommending it to others

Perfect fit
This is the second time I am using a uv filter and the reason I bought it was for my upcoming trip to Bali where I am planning a long photo shoot session. Being in the wilderness and in a country with strong sun rays I thought buying a new UV filter to protect my lens is the best thing. Now this is K&F product, same as my ND filter and the tripod I recently purchased because I am like that and like to buy loads from one company. It came really nicely packed and feels like really good quality and it fits perfectly. I am really happy with the product and look forward to using it and abusing it.
