This “blanket” feels as thin like a cheap beach towel from Walmart. Not what I was expecting considering it says a “throw” blanket which is typically thicker.That being said, it is super soft, the map is printed very clearly and when I laid it out on the couch it looked very classy. It also felt warmer than expected when I saw how thin the material was, but I still don’t expect it to keep me warm on the couch during cold winters days but I have yet to try it since it’s a Valentine’s Day gift and it’s only December. No weird smell either, which is nice.So, overall, be aware that this looks good and feels really soft but is way thinner than you’d expect from a blanket.It also arrived several weeks before it said it was which was a nice bonus!

The print on the front is great quality, but it is literally one piece of fabric with the edges haphazardly folded over and stitched down, which you can see in the third picture. Great as a lightweight blanket, but I was expecting something much more plush. The second image shows how thin it is. Also, definitely pay attention to sizing! I ordered one that I thought was a decent size, however, it was much smaller than I expected! That one was 100% on me, I normally double check math for sizes and I didn't this time. Other than that, it's good! My husband will still probably use it as a wall hanging rather than a blanket!

This blanket is amazing!!! A lot of the reviews say that it’s a bit too thin and such, bitch it’s really not! It’s super soft and fuzzy on both sides and it’s perfectly large, depending on the size you get. Mine is the largest, and it could easily cover most of me head to toe and I’m 6’3! All in all, wonderful product, would definitely buy again.

This blanket is super soft but as far as being a throw blanket maybe if you are no larger than 3 feet tall. Maybe it was meant for an actual hobbit. It is a really nice design but it was shockingly small.

Don’t be surprised when the package arrives in what looks like a package with a magazine in it, I know I was fooled, it is vacuumed packed which I have never seen before. I gave it time to un-vacuum, about an hour, to let the wrinkles out. It it soft, oh yeah very soft, maybe a little thin. A little thinner than I thought, but makes a nice lap blanket, I did not realize I ordered the smaller size. It is perfect for a little person or a smallish blanket that you may need. All in all it is a nice blanket and unlike many I received there not a horrible smell to it. I give it five stars all around, the size was my fault but I still kept it., so be careful you double check the size you order. Happy Amazoning!!!

Around here we really enjoy LOTR and all things Middle Earth. My husband built a frame for this so we could hang it up like a map. It's very pretty and we enjoy it quite a bit.

I purchased the 60 x 50 as a gift. I agree with the reviewer who said it looks good but very thin. It's VERY thin - I would say it is only slightly thicker than a sheet. Not nearly as full as it appears in the photo and definitely not worth this much money. But the design is as pictured & it's a gift for a LOTR fan so I will keep it.

This has been on my wishlist when I discovered it two Christmases ago shopping for my nephew. I loved it for myself and put it on my wishlist after I chose something else for him (Game of Thrones theme). My dear husband finally discovered my wishlist this year and got me a bunch of stuff I'd put there and largely forgotten about! What a surprise this blanket was! It is SOOOOOO soft and lightweight and warm. Everyone loves it and it drapes so nicely on my sofa. What a pleasant surprise! :)

I ordered a set of 3 of these Middle Earth Map blankets as a wedding present for my nephew, who is a Lord of the Rings fan - something we share. Before I ordered I read the reviews which were generally not very complimentary, but I couldn't find a comparable product anywhere. Now that the blankets have arrived, I can confirm that, although soft, the blankets are very thin and the stitching is very rough. The print is also distorted where the fabric has wrinkled, although this may improve with washing ...

An absolutely delightful microfibre Middle Earth Map blanket! If you love Tolkien, or know a fan, this is an absolutely perfect gift. Note: the blanket is only light, so you may need two if you have cold winters :D

This did not come as advertised. It is the size of a wall hanging- not a blanket. It is also very thin.
