Q: How do you connect your pipe to it?

Hi an adaptor can be purchased but I would just abutt the pipe to the crates and tape your membrane around the pipe to keep the dirt out of the soakaway

Q: Hi, do these just need wrapped in membrane or is an outer layer of gravel required to stop soil clogging the membrane?

Hi you can just backfill with the soil you dug out but you will find you get a better result if you add in some clean stone. The membrane will filter the water entering the system but clean stone only helps flow if you can justify it.
