Omix-Ada17720.06 | Fuel Tank, Steel | OE Reference: 912008 | Fits 1955-1968 Jeep CJ

Got this to replace a damaged and leaky gas tank on our CJ5. Fit perfect and is of great quality. Original gas cap & level sensor fit perfect. Looks exactly like an original tank except has Omix logo embossed on front side. Painted gloss black NOT silver as shown in photo. Don't forget to order a new level sensor gasket (cork) when you get a new tank. Very happy with this product. No more gas leaks or odors!

Well made. Had to clean the 7/16 outlet threads.

This tank will come painted black. It seems to be holding fuel well. No leaks so far! The only complaint I have is that the filler neck is a little off. Because of this it doesn't go right through the center of the rubber grommet. When I installed mine the filler neck actually had to be popped out a bit for it to lay kind of flat in the floor without binding on the filler neck hole in the body. Maybe it got a little bent during shipping or it's just a little warped from when it was welded together. Just don't expect it to fit like a glove but it is a good tank and I got everything to line up good enough.

This tank works great in my 1966 CJ5 Jeep. Everything from the bottom fittings to the paint job were a perfect fit for my jeep. I would recommend this tank to anyone.

Double boxed to avoid any issues. Super easy to install..Does not come with rubber neck gasket, sending unit, gasket or screws to mount a sending unit. Screws would be a nice touch, as the sending unit doesn't have them and how do you know what size screws to get without any instructions?
