Better than Bucky
This is an incredibly accurate casting of an actual skeleton that puts the classic home haunter's skeleton from a major anatomical supply house (commonly known as a "Bucky") completely to shame. For the same price as a second-quality Bucky you could have a first quality model like this.It is nearly perfect. Neatly wired, no excess plastic mold flashing, and extremely lightweight compared to other "bone-like" plastics used in most other models. Better for home haunters that want that extra bit of realism.A negative detail that stands out is that the overly perfect teeth are an obvious, solid denture-like unit and look cheap up close, with no actual gaps between them.As other reviewers have noted, the rib fronts and sternum are both a different color and another material than the main body. They are a glaring mismatch of color and texture.Lastly, the stand is fully adequate (with two locking wheel casters out of five total, a nice feature not mentioned on the store page) but the plastic material that the stand is made from is completely hollow and laughably brittle. I chipped two of the legs just by inserting them into their respective slots during assembly, meaning from the outset my model has a wobbly base. Good luck if you purchase this for educating children in a classroom.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this product.Special note: If you do purchase this, note that mine came with a small zipper-closure bag among the wrapping near the skull. It contained several teeth with the root structures shown (but with nowhere to put them in the skull) and most importantly, had extra hardware for securing the legs. My skeleton arrived with one of the nuts missing on a leg bolt, so this was a beautifully thoughtful gesture from the seller. Not sure about the teeth, though...but thank you.

Solid and accurate. Looks pretty realistic on its own.
I ordered this skeleton solely as a Halloween decoration. The cheap, poorly molded plastic ones you find in box stores just don't cut it. I was amazed to find this medical model at such a great price and couldn't pass it up. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Once he was out of the box, I went to work on making him look even more realistic. I was going for an aged, antique look. I worked in sections using a gloss, dark brown spray paint that once applied, I would quickly wipe off with a lint free rag. Then I ripped out all the original teeth as they are plastic and look extremely fake. I used a hot glue gun to install individual resin teeth in their place. Lastly, I covered the cartilage and sternum in liquid latex as both are made of an odd, clear rubber material that wouldn't take paint. Once the latex dried, I painted over it to approximate the look of real cartilage. Now he looks 100% real and spooky.

Teaching tool at it's finest.
I bought this for my wife who "needed" it for school. It was going to help her study the joints for her RT class. Has it...maybe. Not because of what it is but it has been in several of our company videos and currently wears our company hat and an Authentic Dallas Cowboys jersey. And lives in our living room. In the front window. We named him Ernest. And sometimes I like to stick Ernest's head out the curtains which are black out curtains so all you see is a floating skull.

Awesome!
I read both positive and negative reviews on this prior to purchasing. My purchasing experience is great. The only negative I have is that the poster was not in good shape and was pretty bent up. It was purchased for anatomy students and has been a great learning tool. Everything is in it's proper place. It assembled very easily, all the pieces and parts were there. There are even extra teeth in case a couple fall out. Nothing was broken or misaligned. Wires are used to kind of keep things in the right place (like wires are used to keep the ribs aligned properly and nothing was out of place, bent or crushed.) The box it came in didn't look like the best packing job but, even so, everything was in good shape when we took it out and put it together. Putting it together took about two minutes. It is on a wheel base and overall, it's very nice. It's good quality. I wouldn't try to tackle it or anything, but it's great for student use. I've actually seen one in a physical therapist's office too and they look exactly the same.

Really fun to dress up!
I received my dear Palatino a couple of days early. He wasn't too happy about having to stay in the box while I was on my 5 hour shift when he arrived but hugged me when I brought him out of the box. I noticed that he came with the pole protruding outside of his box but the wheel stand wasn't in there with it (which is okay). So to prop him up, I hang him from my door hooks or let him be a super model on the couch or my bed. He's a great cuddle buddy too and doesn't take up that much space! Would definitely buy another one if he wants a friend!

Great bones, terrible personality
This guy arrived in pristine and mostly assembled condition . After putting his legs on, I picked him up to set him on the couch while I set up his stand. He protested and dramatically went limp, he was a complete drama queen ! After putting the stand together I went to get Mr lazy bones off the couch and his hand got caught in the blanket and he made it quite clear that the couch was just fine thanks. None the less, I had to get him on the stand, I know he has a rod up his bony butt and all but , he could have been a bit more cooperative!Once on the stand I looked him over, he looked good , I checked his joints and they were all in good working order, then I checked his mouth to assess the jaw springs... he proceeded to bite me...hard. and naturally he refused to explain himself. so all in all he made a terrible first impression on us. He's just overly dramatic .But despite his personality , he looks great. He was very well crafted and we'll worth what we spent on him.
