We ordered this to replace the heating dish we had. We wanted something more pet safe, as the cat had a bad habit of laying right up against the heat dish or rubbing against it. This electric fireplace was larger than I expected because I didn't do the smart thing and use a tape measure to get an accurate idea of the size prior to ordering. However, we found a space for it, so it worked out fine. We enjoy this fireplace, the faux flames are quite pretty. I ordered this one because of the color choices, I love all the different colors. We are using the logs right now, but it came with some crystals that we'll switch out in the future. The fireplace has a good weight to it, it took the 2 of us to move it inside and put it in place, though a stronger person could probably do it alone if necessary. Assembly was very easy. We are using ours as a free standing fireplace, so I just had to screw on the 2 feet. The glass front is easy to remove.The fireplace does make some noise when the blower is on, but it's not terribly loud, just a humming fan like noise. It doesn't put out the very direct heat of a heating dish, but it warms up the room nicely. We've only run it on low so far, haven't felt the need to turn it up to high. We live in a townhome, so our living room/dining room is not terribly large, but the fireplace warms it up easily. We live in the desert southwest, so I don't know how this electric fireplace would hold up to a cold climate, but for us it keeps it cozy on a chilly night, and might save on heating bills by having the central heater come on less. The fireplace itself does not get hot to the touch, it stays cool even after running for hours. The hot air blows out of a vent on the upper front of the unit on top of the fireplace "screen" area. So pets can lay near the fireplace without worrying about singed whiskers.Overall, very happy with this purchase.

I probably waste the cost of this in 6 months, so I needed to covert to an electric one, and loved the options this one has. It is heavier than I was expecting to arrive and well packaged. It comes with rocks inset inside with the option to add glass as well. Be sure your dimensions are correct so you don’t have to modify anything like I had to do due to a miscalculation. I could have just put this on the floor thanks to its stand, but decide to mod to my original plan. You plug this is in and see how cool this is what an improvement it is. You can control this from a remote and choose a color or flame style as well as set the heat. You wont mistake this for a real fire, but has a modern feel to it with modern safety functions. It has a timer that can done on the remote or directly on the fireplace as well as overheat or fall over detection. The colors of this are vey pretty to go to depending on you mood. I am not sure I would change anything on this fireplace. It is priced right, gives good heat, has cool colors, remote, and styles which is why I would recommend.

Very nice for the price. simple to put together. the flames look really good, heater works well. I did not realize that in order to have heat, you will have the flames on, there is no setting for heat without the flames, although there is a setting for flames without the heat. Not that big a deal. On the other hand, the remote did not work. i tried 2 new sets of batteries, but could not get it to work at all. its very lightweight and seems pretty cheap. I have contacted the company and asked for a replacement, hopefully that one will work. overall, good heater, looks nice, needs a more robust remote.Company sent a replacement remote, works great. Great customer service! Would buy from again.

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful fireplace. It has many flame colors to choose from. I prefer the logs to the crystals but am glad to have the choice. The flame is bright and pretty. The heat works well. My only complaint is that there is a constant, loud ticking noise. I have to turn the tv up so that I don’t hear it. I don’t like to turn the fireplace on if there is no other noise to drown out the ticking. I have seen other reviews with the same complaint. That is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.The control panel lights up every so often, but that doesn’t bother me.I am an older woman and was able to install it all by myself. It was pretty easy.Wish there was a way to fix the ticking noise.Update: I contacted Maxxprime and they responded promptly. Told me how to fix the ticking noise and it worked! Loving this fireplace!

Absolutely love this fireplace 36 full inches of of color and heat. There is about inch to two inches of black around the whole fireplace but it reflects the colors looking like it’s even bigger than it actually is. It’s so versatile. It can be just mounted on the wall, or mounted recessed in the wall, or like I did Freestanding. I prefer the freestanding because I want to be able to move it from room to room if I want to, although the other two installations are simply done with excellent directions. It has overheating protection and also tumbling or top over protection which definitely a great safety feature to have to keep it from over heating or burning anything if knocked over. The touch screen makes it simple to change between the 9 various options of colors, along with the 5 flame brightness effects. It’s great to be able to change them at any point so simply. It’s a strong 750w/1500w modes that can be adjusted to your needs and desires for heating temperatures 62-82 degrees Fahrenheit. The logs and fire look so real you only know the difference because you are controlling it. It’s great for a living room bedroom basement or even a camp. No messy wood or work bring it in and trying to start a fire. It’s just so relaxing and enhances any room.
