Perfect size for painting!
Absolutely perfect. We used these as a party activity at a baby shower. Each person painted one for a letter of the alphabet. They are all very smooth and the exact same size. They were great for painting because they are a bit larger than normal blocks

Used for a baby shower activity. So cute! Good size. Good quality. If going against the grain of wood, a bit more challenging to color - other than that, no complaints! Loved these blocks.

Great with Sharpies and Paint.
As someone who understands how wood is natural and can't always be perfect, these were completely satisfactory! I had maybe one block with one side that was pretty rough, which is understandable as it is wood. We are using them for a baby shower activity-- decorating a lettered block with corresponding letter pictures! So 27 was the perfect amount, 26 letters and one practice block. The sharpies (fine point and normal) do not bleed and show very well the colors. The one thick one I tested bled a bit due to lots of ink discharging at once as thick markers do. Craft paint also is great on it. A bit on the expensive side, but obviously not awful cuz I bought them, lol.
