I got this specifically for my brother who suffers with cluster headaches, and for myself who suffers with headaches whenever I've worked out. For my brother, it eases a little of his pain, but cluster headaches are known to be very stubborn and painful, so neither of us expected for it to be a miracle cure. For me however, popping this in the freezer and then coming back to it after I've worked out helps a lot. I tend to get a headache after every time I've exercised, not matter how much water I drink throughout. This helps the headache to go like 90% of the time luckily. Overall, a really good buy! I'd buy it again if my current one went missing!

It takes a long time to heat up and it looses its heat quite quickly in like 5-8 minutes. It’s soft but it’s okay I guess.

Really easy and simple to use. I suffer with acute sinusitis which I find quite painful. The heat pad really helps to relieve the pain, especially around the ears. Fast delivery, easy to use and fits perfectly.

My teenage son and I are both migraine sufferers, often having 2-3 a week. We have tried all of the head wrap products out there, and this is by far our favorite. We both prefer cold relief during a migraine, so we typically keep this in the freezer so that it is ready to go when we need it. The wrap is consistently cold and provides even relief to the back of the neck and the front of the face/head simultaneously. It is also easily the softest wrap around, which makes a huge difference in comfort, as we typically like to lie down with a migraine. My son has sensory issues and many of the wraps are scratchy and wet, and that will not work for him. This wrap is so soft and smooth and comfortable to wear. But the best thing about this wrap to me is that you can also warm it up in the microwave if you would like to use it warm! Sometimes my shoulder tightness contributes to my migraines and this wrap is the perfect size to put on top of one shoulder and heat up those sore muscles that so often contribute to headache pain. In this way, I feel like I have gotten two amazing products for the price of one! When I warm it up I sometimes use it in conjunction with my Huggaroo neck and shoulder wrap for the ultimate in relaxing comfort! Hot or cold, this wrap always delivers, and I am planning to order another so my son will have his own! The quality of this wrap is unparalleled, the materials are so soft and even the packaging is great quality and perfect for gift giving. 5 stars, this is the best headache wrap on Amazon!

Since approximately 2001, I have been struggling with migraines. They have become debilitating and I do everything I can to decrease my risk of another one. No one item is going to fix the migraines. I've taken medications, used heat/cold, avoided all of the fun foods/drinks, used a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation device, gotten massages, etc. I had a four month migraine and hit a wall.No one item will fix migraines. But, the right combination of preventatives and abortives can make the biggest difference in lifestyle and daily functioning. For me, I know that during a migraine I need to take my abortive medication, dim my lights, minimize noise, put a cold pack on my head, put heat on my neck and shoulders, use my device if needed and then wait.Why do you need to know all of this? You don't. I don't want you to feel alone and you aren't. Hopefully, though, you saw the part about the heat on the neck and shoulders. An issue I ran into was finding a heating pad that would stay on my neck and shoulders without rolling off if I shifted in bed. Also, I've actually had an electric blanket catch fire while I was sleeping so sleeping with the heating pad isn't going to work. I tried it on the neck as a curiosity and on my head in the hopes that it would be a great resource during migraines.Disclaimer: I love huggaroo products. I do. The material is soft, stretchy and soothing and the materials are of good quality.I was excited to see that the huggaroo headache wrap had a large strip of velcro to hold it to my head. I can use it cold on my head (though this is a bit less effective than using it for heat) and, the bigger draw for me, is being able to put it around my neck. I also purchased their new weighted blanket (I will review on the item) and find that there is consistency between the products, which isn't always the case when you order multiple products from a company.I know you probably weren't looking for a neck wrap. This isn't intended to be a neck wrap. Having multiple uses makes this product invaluable. My migraines are tricky. My son likes heat on his head during them because it relaxes him and he also really enjoys the huggaroo brand items. I tried the heat and the cold functions and found I like the heat for my neck and the cold for my head. An added benefit of the velcro is that, when the headwrap goes warm for me (using it on my head after it is chilled), I can slip a tiny little ice pack underneath it and the head wrap will hold it snug to my head.The ONLY criticism I have about the headwrap is that if you have a very large head, it would be wonderful if there were a couple of different size options. Overall, though, most people will be able to use this very comfortably.If you haven't found the right mix for your migraines, don't give up. I have added this hot/cold headache wrap to my "emergency migraine kit" that I keep next to me most of the time. I will not hesitate to order more from Huggaroo.
