My little long hair Chi didn't scoot a lot but I just can't stand it, so I put him on a product I'd used in the past for another dog. There was improvement. Vetnique's soft chews are even more effective, he may do one scoot 1-2 times over the course of a week. Even BETTER is they are perfect to use as a 'pill pocket' to give your dog its medicine. I also have a giant geriatric Great Pyrenes that takes a pain pill daily. I only need 1/2 of one of these chews to hide the pill--they are indeed 'soft' and you can mold it around the pill,. And using these chews is FAR, FAR, FAR cheaper than the pill pocket brand. Win win for us.

I have been buying this supplement for my dog for a few years. The treatment helped remediation the anal glad issue and sh3 stopped scooting for the most part. As the flavors a good, she has no problem taking it. I would recommend the product.

Our dog has pretty bad leaky anal glands. After she eats something about an hour later she will express her anal glands on furniture and it's a decent amount. I was skeptical about if this was going to work. For the first week she did have diarrhea and loose stool, but after that first week her stool firmed up and so long as she takes this supplement every day she does not express her anal glands on furniture. She's not even on the full dose she's taking half a dose (she's 30 lbs and would normally take two chews) and it is working this well, though I did buy the advanced strength just to ensure it would work. The one critique I have is that it is pretty pricey. My husband and I are wondering if a simple fiber supplement would work just as well since the concept should just be firm poop = pressure on the anal glands to express them. My husband and I will be experimenting with rolled oats once this product is used up to see if it is just as effective and I will report back with my findings.

These work! Unfortunately, they work really well... lol. We have 2 dachshunds that have repeated gland issues and initially, we tried the basic version, which they didn't like, but when we switched to this one (advanced strength) they loved them. They get upset if I forget to put them in their breakfast bowl. Our dogs are 11 and 14 pounds, so I just give them half and that is enough. When I say 'unfortunately' I mean that we occasionally get a lot of 'fragrance' coming from the natural gland expression, but that doesn't last long and they haven't had to have their anal glands manually expressed by the vet in more than a year. These are super soft and easy to break apart with your fingers. I think that the soft nature is one of the things that makes them so desirable for our dogs, who are picky about 'treats'.

Worked great, my Irish Doodle had been scooting and I noticed some bad odor. Tried these and everything resolved right away On a side note, he has always had a sensitive stomach and throws up frequently. He’s been taking one of these chews a day and only threw up once in the last month!? There has to be some correlation to that too Highly recommend

I got these out of sheer desperation. My staffie puppy suddenly became really gassy and had a strong fishy smell. We took her to the vet and everything checked out fine, but the issue didn’t stop. She was 10 months old when we started these and they worked fast. The smell and gas went away the next day after her first treatment. No smell, more regular, no smelly gas. Unfortunately, if we stop giving them, the issues do come back, so we’ve kept her on them and haven’t had any problems since. Highly recommend.

So pleased that this is helping my dog with her problem anal glands. She's been having problems every 2 weeks due to spinal problem and nerve damage. Started her on these had to give 2 every morning and what a difference they've made. 5 * all the way
