The Book of F*cking Hilarious Internet Memes

Now I'm not hating on the content or the author. What I do find disappointing and deserving of my frustration/anger to have purchased this is the plagiarism and immaturity at publishing something that can be Google searched and found in Images.It would have really made more sense if the memes were better explained as they do on Know Your Meme just to give a better primer as it goes into some sample memes. But then again, I can just go into Know Your Meme's webiste or QuickMeme's website and spend hours there. The author did put some effort but I find it hard to appreciate considering the effort was juvenile in its execution.

This is a type of book I love: I can read it in one sitting and there's lots of fun pictures and humor. This book (and other books based on blogs) are like candy to me and this was no different. I had seen some of the memes before but was also introduced to new ones, such as Inglip and Dogfort, even though my black-and-white Kindle made it hard to read the Inglip captions.I would have liked more background info on the memes- I saw the author commented that he had written background but didn't include it. How about a sequel? More of each meme?I was a bit disturbed over use of the word "darkie,' although I figured it wasn't written in seriousness. Still, it made me uncomfortable.For fans of memes or for a quick read, I recommend this book. Don't pick up if you're easily offended. All that said, I'm editing the book's Shelfari page. :) I'd like to see sequels!

F*cking hilarious is right! However, they were f*cking already popular and the book was too f*cking short.I paid about three bucks to see what I already saw on Knowyourmeme.com and Memegenerator.net.It's three stars instead of one because of price and the author does put a nice little summary on each of the...I dunno, FOUR or FIVE memes in there?(There's 22 but still, short.)

Bought as a Christmas gift. The book is ok. Full of random "old-school" memes from the early days of memes. Could use an update to make it more modern in it's content.

I got this for a gift for my boyfriend. It seemed really awesome but when I got it and I looked through the pages it wasn't what I expected it to be. It may be great for others but I was disappointed with the memes.

Full disclosure - I did not pay for this book. It was being offered for free a couple of months ago and I got it then. I don't even know why I got it as I didn't even know what a "meme" was.Finally got around to reading it last night and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I laughed and laughed and giggled and chortled.I thought the memes themselves were hilarious but I also thought Richard "Dick" Face's intros for each one were very funny.Very glad that I stumbled upon this as I am now going out and looking up more of these memes myself.Thanks for the introduction to internet memes!

The book begins with a very good definition of an Internet meme, and a semi-humorous explanation on how they get spread around. However, you can read that information in the book description on the project page.The section on "Dogfort" is okay. It consists of pictures of dogs in costumes. However, you find those with a simple Internet search.The book is divided into several categories of humor, so that's good. However, that bright point was quickly quashed by the repetitious nature of the jokes. For example, the section on "Foul Bachelor Frog" consists of a picture of a frog's head, with a life situation listed at the top, and the Bachelor Frog's response. In the next section, pictures of a "socially awkward penguin" are substituted. And so on.The jokes, themselves, are often offensive in nature. Some of them are racist, sexist, and just generally inappropriate for perpetuating stereotypes. The sad thing is that these jokes are circulating on the Internet, and that people in society still think they are funny.Some of the pictures are difficult to see (small read type on a black background). And most of the rest of the jokes just aren't funny.The Author, Richard Face, asked readers to provide feedback by reviewing his book. Be careful what you wish for; you may get it. By gathering up these "jokes" from various sights on the web, Richard Face has demonstrated that he has initiative as well as good organizational skills and reasonably decent writing skills. One can only hope he will learn to put those skills to better use in the future. Pass this one by and save your three bucks for something better.

This book didn't manage to raise a smile when I presented it as a gift to a teenager. The memes were quite obscure and were not particularly funny. I thought this would be ideal as my nephew and his friends love viewing memes and have a great laugh usually. His verdict was that this book is pointless as half the fun is finding them yourself and of course its free on the internet. Returned it.

Twas OK and I did receive some 'lolz' but I was expecting a few more common memes like the rage ones.
