I loved my hair in the first wash. It was light and soft and looked lovely. I didn’t like the dry shampoo because it makes my hair feel like it has been covered in a bad hairspray - feels like straw and matted to brush through. The head massager is useful although not entirely needed if you have fine hair like me. Longer or thicker hair would definitely benefit from it to help application. After about a week of use I felt my scalp had rebalanced because it stopped over greasing- before it would get greasy by the evening after a wash. Now deep wash is too strong so I am going to try the regular version next. Have to say I love the shampoo but think the rest is over priced. Also I was surprised how much shampoo I needed for each wash - quite a lot. So at the price of the shampoo will definitely not be saving money over traditional hair care. That being said it’s worth it for how much better my scalp feels - not itchy, less greasy, shinier healthy looking hair!

Absolutely awful!!!! I desperately wanted to love this, but unless your desired result is “limp and oily”, best to keep looking for a different product. I wanted to like this so much I persevered for days and my hair eventually looked like it had never seen water in its life. I was almost in a position to challenge Texas and UAE on oil production. The one star is only because the dry shampoo “Powder” is quite good.

Absolutely rubbish - total waste of my money

This is the best shampoo I have tried.It took a while to get accustomed to, having no lather but the results are excellent.I have it on repeat as nothing compares to it.I have very fine damaged hair which I am always trying to improve ,washing daily and putting lots of conditioner on and then argan oil when dry to compensate for the bleaching.Now all I do is shampoo every two or three days.I use the scalp brush which I feel invigorates the scalp.It seems expensive but all in all,with using just one product it isn't .I am quite sparing with it and ,in fact reduced the frequency of my order by weeks .My friends and family have commented on the improvement in my hair.It is less damaged and silky.A delight.

Very ordinary apart from the price. Which was extraordinary.

I have medium length, fine, wavy/curly, thinning hair with seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. I have used/tried many OTC shampoos and treatments (some high end brands and some drugstore brands). I also have prescription ketoconazole shampoo from a dermatologist. I have used a scalp massager with these shampoos and treatments. Nothing has really improved the scalp flaking/build up and many contain harsh detergents. Cleansing conditioners leave my scalp feeling unclean. And this seemed like a cleansing conditioner, so I was skeptical. I decided to try the deep version due to my prior experience with cleansing conditioners. I don’t know how best to describe it…it leaves my scalp feeling cleaner than a cleansing conditioner but doesn’t leave my ends feeling stripped like with the harsher shampoos. It feels like I have a clean scalp and a texturizer in my hair for waves/curls after using. I have noticed significantly less scalp flaking/build up and no longer use curl creams/balms on my lengths. This has not extended my time between washes. Still need to wash at least every other day (which is what I was doing before). I would still highly recommend trying this if struggling with scalp issues.

Not going to lie, I wanted to love this. My experience was so negative I would have been happy with simply liking this or feeling impartial.I'm Mediterranean, so I'm generally on the oily side; I assumed the deep formula would be right for me... um, nope.Let me back up. I have fine hair that has always been soft, silky and shiny (again, typical Mediterranean). I've done no-poo for years: baking soda and ACV, a weird mix of Ayurvedic herbs, detergent/sulfate/silicone/everything free shampoos. Never have I had an experience this disheartening.New Wash wrecked my hair! Greasy roots, dry and brittle ends. TONS of breakage. I was losing hair in clumps. Hair all over the floor, between my fingers, on my clothes, drains; shedding and breakage GALORE!Like a fool, I waited it out for a while (despite being oily, I am not and have not been a daily hair washer) and the results just became abysmally worse though I followed instructions to a T, watched the Hairstory videos and read the FAQ's.Can't say much for the dry shampoo either. The two products were a match made in hair-hell for me. The powder made my tresses matted clumps which I was unable to run my fingers through. Frankly, I would rather looked as though I was coated in olive oil than continue to use this.I get it, this review is harsh. I also understand that tons of other consumers are bonkers for New Wash, and despite my experience, I do believe that this works for some people, just not for me by any means.To end on a high note: I do love the scrubber. A lot. The massaging feels great and really stimulates the scalp and lifts dirt and grease. My fiancé and I use the scrubber now with another conditioner (psst Pura D'or - totally recommend) and it has transformed the no-poo game for us.TLDR: I'm sorry New Wash. We're just incompatible.

Not super keen on the smell of this shampoo, but it does feel pretty nice after cleaning. However, be sure to really rinse thoroughly! I forgot on the 2nd or 3rd wash and my hair was a right mess.The only downside for me was feeling like my hair got oilier faster... by the next day I'm feeling like I need to wash again, and typically I don't wash daily.

I have only used this product about four times now, while only rinsing my hair with water during all other showers. I am still finding that my hair is oily and it doesn't feel completely dry. I am forced to use baby powder in my hair to achieve a natural look. I also am not a fan of the $36 dollar Powder Dry Shampoo. After using this product for the first time, I went to my local grocery store to purchase a $3 bottle of baby powder. The New Wash Powder felt really gritty in my hair. I will finish both products to see if they are better with time as the product discloses, but I am not sure that I will purchase again.

I rarely write reviews, but I am super impressed with New Wash Rich. I was recommended New Wash by a friend as I currently live in a camper van and was looking for a good biodegradable shampoo/conditioner option. For reference, my hair is fine, somewhat greasy, color treated and tangles easily. After three washes, my hair has seemed to adjust well and is shinier and softer than it has been in a long time. Also, NO CONDITIONER NEEDED! I used the product as described with brush and spent a good deal of time rinsing out. I don't think it'll save anyone time or money in the shower, but its definitely worth a shot.
