Highly recc'd
Quite simply the best wading boot available, and a great value compared to high end Orvis, Simms, etc. Chota's are most comfortable and incredibly easy to slip on and off with the elastic lace system, yet very stable on the river, supportive and protective to the feet, toes and ankles. Got 100-150 days of rugged walk & wade steelhead fishing out of my previous pair before the stitching gave out. The black felt soles are tough, the cleats work well, can be easily replaced or removed for boat use . They shrink a little when dry, so I recommend dipping them in water before putting on if I you have been off the river. I buy the size 13 for my size 12 foot.

best wading boot i have ever owned
this is my second pair of these Chota's. first pair lasted 3x longer than my patagonias and twice as long as my simms. actually the boot itself is still in great shape, just wore down the felt (which lasted a long time for felt). i also love the lace system as it is fast to put on and take off and provides plenty of support as i used them to hike miles across tundra in Alaska. the laces don't last as long as the boot so i do have to replace periodically. but that is easy with the replacement kit from Chota. i HIGHLY recommend these wading boots

Love these Wading Boots
This is the 3rd pair of Chota leather wading boots I've had over 23 years and I wouldn't wear anything else. After a few years, you have to wet the leather down for ease of putting them on, but they have such great support and feel so good on your feet that it's an easy trade off for such a good pair of wading boots.

Size not correct
It is hard to evaluate the boots for warmth or thickness because they were so large. They were bought to replace an identical pair but were at least 2 sizes larger.

Best boots!
I fish more than 200 days a year, wading hard. These boots can last me 2,3 years with changing the cleats. Best boots in the market at any price. I like one size larger than my street shoes. The only drawback is that the upper real leather shrinks when dry. The secret is to fish a lot and keep tgem wet, ir soak them in water before going out. I will buy them again and again.

Nice, Comfortable Boot
Great boot, great fit and has held up well. Sometimes it seems like I can't get cinched up enough but they still feel solid & tight in the water.

Great wading shoes
These wading shoes are awesome. The first pair I bought lasted 15yrs. I feel like spiderman when I walk in the stream. I never slip, NOT EVEN A LITTLE! Not cheap but they really are an excellent wading shoe!!
