Kinda sucks when you put 5000 gallons of water in your pool, go to work, come home and it's back below the skimmer..... :-( The old faulty gasket in this guy caused it to get stuck on "backwash" so needless to say, I added some water to the water table that day.... Either way, this fixed it.

This is my second time purchasing this item. I am hoping this one holds up better than the last one I purchased. Some advice is to be gentle on moving from one station to the next.

Bought as a replacement part to repair leaky sand filter that had a diteriated gasket and weaken spring due to many years use. It fixed the leak and works like a charm.

Received the new valve and spent 15 minutes trying to figure out why the new valve seemed to be opposite of my current valve. Found that the notches for each port did not line up and realized the label for the valves was backward. Sounds like a quality issue to me.

Last year I had an issue with my original that came with my sand filter. It was about 3 years old at the time, & a white piece of plastic or rubber was sticking out from the handle, & water was leaking. I made the mistake of purchasing this from somebody on ebay & the new one had a crack & leaked badly too. We put silicone around it to get it to limp through the Summer, but this Summer I wanted to replace it.We had a giant oak tree land on our above ground pool, so I am in the process of rebuilding it. I just purchased this & we will be starting off fresh. The pool guy says it appears to be in good condition, so we should be good to go.My only complaint is that it didn't come with screws. It would seem like it should?
