Top Quality that is Long Lasting
There are too many companies out there making boots that are just garbage. I spent twenty-four years in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman so I know a little bit about boots. The Belleville company makes excellent boots. I first saw the model 700 Belleville boots when I was a Drill Sergeant because they were issued to Basic Trainees for a short time, I later found out they stopped issuing them because of cost. At first I didn’t like them because they looked more like a work boot than a tactical combat boot, but even then I knew they were well made. Years later after I retired and got into law enforcement I bought a pair of them and I loved them. The agency I was working for was issuing a very poor quality of boot my feet simply couldn’t deal with, they hurt to wear and fell apart after for months of use. These Belleville boots, at least in my line of work will last a good two years, likely even more, if you take care of them by occasionally polishing them once in a while to prolong the life of the leather. Of course the sole of the boots will wear down over time especially with rigorous use but the boots themselves will remain intact for a very long time. I highly recommend these boots to anyone who is looking for high quality, long lasting boots that are also very comfortable to wear.As a side note - I once ordered a pair of these same boots that arrived with a manufacturing flaw. I contacted the Belleville company with an email complete with photos to show the problem. Belleville sent me a shipping label, gave me the date and a time frame when UPS would deliver a new pair of boots. UPS arrived on the correct date and time frame, handed me the box with the new pair of boots and I handed the UPS driver the flawed boots in the box with the shipping label and that was it. Excellent customer service from a company that makes an excellent product and cares about their customers’ satisfaction.

all around great boots!!
I used these in the service and now I'm a police officer. I got into a foot chase and had to jump over a couple fences (6ft drop). these have good ankle support, and a nice flat sole so you have a better shot to NOT roll your ankle when you land. they are a little heavier than the $100 boots but are very comfortable even when chasing someone. they fit true to size. I wear a 10.5 R in regular shoes and a 10.5 R in these.

Best ever
Best boots of all time. They run a tiny bit big. I wear a size 11 in vans so a size 10 1/2 here is very roomy.Appreciate the wide sizes as well.

Quality control has gone down hill.
This was the third pair of Belleville 700 boots I have owned. I used to swear up and down that these were the most comfortable and most durable boots out there. This last pair was a total let down. Booth boots were very narrow and very stiff. I tried wearing them for a month to break them in and have had no luck (except for very, very sore feet). At work, I'm walking on concrete floors for the whole 8 hour shift. I've had cheep 30 dollar boots that were way more comfortable.

Replaced by Belleville boot co
*UPDATE*I reached out to Belleville; they had me take a picture of the damaged boot and email it to them. In turn, they sent me a pair of boots to replace the ones that failed. They explained that their boots are under warranty for a year. I would have liked to had that kind of support from the seller, but all is well that ends well.Hopefully, there won’t be anything thatrequiring any further updates to this review. The boots are comfortable, and Belleville boot company stood behind their product. After wearing these boots for 2 weeks, one of them is literally coming apart. I’ve emailed the seller. Will update. It’s been 2 days and I still haven’t heard back from the seller; so I called Belleville Boot company. They told me that the boots are under warranty for a year. They told me to take a picture of where the nylon ripped away from the leather, and a picture of the tag inside the boot, and they’ll send me another pair. I can not in good conscience recommend the seller, but I can tell you that Belleville stands behind their boots, at least for the first year. The pair that was sent to me must have had a flaw, bc I’ve read the reviews about how tough these boots are and how long you guys have worn them before having to replace them.It concerns me that I’ve sent 2 emails and left a voice mail with the seller and still have not heard a word from them. Oh well, all is well that ends well, right?Orig reviewI had initially purchased the Belleville 700s, I ordered them a half a size smaller than my shoe size which is a 9. When they arrived, and I tried them on, wouldn’t you know it, they were too small. So, I sent them back so that they could send me some size 9 narrow (that’s right, I have narrow feet, and it’s like pulling teeth trying to find boots that’ll fit me!). The good people at Belleville told me it would be 90 to 120 days before I’d receive the 700s in my size. I work in law enforcement and I have to have boots for my job, like now, not 120 days from now. So I found the 770s in 9 narrow and bought them. From what I understand, the 770 is the same as this one but they’re insulated. I’m still waiting on the 700s in my size as I’m quite sure that the 770s will get a bit too toasty come summer time in Birmingham, Al.That’s enough about my quest for narrow boots, on with the review. Once I received the 770s, I tried them on, and 9 narrow fit me perfect. So if you listen to anything other than buying these in your shoe size, you’ll end up sending them back as I did. These boots feel good, they do feel like a sneaker. The only other brand I’ve found that makes boots in a B width is Danner. The Danner Acadia is a nice boot, I’ve owned a pair. 2 things that turned me away from the Danners and toward Belleville, price and fit. The Acadia’s are now selling for over $300..Yes they’re nice boots, but no, $200 is my limit for tactical boots. The 2nd thing, the toe box in the Acadia’s was so constricted that it felt like my toes were being squeezed by a vice. Not so with the Belleville’s.If you’ve never owned a pair of Belleville boots, they’re a safe bet. They’re very comfortable, and from everything I’ve read, they’re durable and long lasting. I wouldn’t suggest the 770s for hot climates, but in cool weather, they’ll do fine.
