Q: Hi what type of nylon are the bristles made of? Is it nylon-4? If so,is it 100%?

Thanks for contacting us about our nylon bristle toothbrushes. We currently use Nylon 6, due to the lack of evidence that Nylon 4 is 100% biodegradable. From testing, we ound the Nylon 6 bristles to be better quality when briushes vs Nylon 4. In order to successfully compost this toothbrush, we advise using a set of pliers to remove the bristles before composting the toothbrush. The toothbrush handle is made from 100% biodegradable bamboo wood. To recycle the Nylon Bristles, we advise contacting your local council website as some facilities can recycle nylon plastic. Q: Where are your toothbrushes made please?

Our EcoSlurps Bamboo Toothbrushes are designed and distributed out of our office in Cardiff, South Wales. The toothbrushes are manufactured in our factory in China. The reason this product is made in China and not in the UK like some of our other products is because the sustainably sourced bamboo wood that we use is grown in China, not far from our manufacturing facility. It's better for the environment and its cost-effective for the end consumer to have this product manufactured there. Q: Do the toothbrushes have a silicone/rubber base?

There doesn’t appear to be any rubber or silicone base, it looks like the bristles go straight into the bamboo and there is certainly no silicone anywhere else on the toothbrushes shaft. The brushes certainly have a long life and the bristles retain their stiffness for months.
