Bought for my mom and she said it was perfect. I assume that means it fit her machine, was easy to use, and was as described.

I have been trying to hem satin skirt by hand forever it seems. This is most helpful.

Creates such nice hems, definitely for an advanced sewer! I’m a total beginner but still had fun experimenting with and hope I can get better at using it.

Once you get the hang of it this makes really tight smooth rolled edges so much easier than trying to do it free-hand. There is a definite learning curve to using this foot. I have tried several times but still cannot manage to get the first couple of inches to feed through and roll over cleanly then as I sew, it is hard to keep the fabric lined up just right so it stays right on the edge but with some practice it gets a little easier. If there is a 1/4" rolled edge hem, I think that might be a little easier to manage but I haven't found that foot yet. I am knocking off one star just because it is not as easy to use as I would hope which results in lower accuracy end-to-end but it's still a good value if you have enough edging to do to need one.

Time saving

This sewing foot fit my Kenmore without a problem. Be sure to watch the video that is suggested on the packaging as it's tricky at the start when feeding the fabric in the scroll. You may have to change to a zig zag stitch from a straight stitch. At least that did the trick for me. Practice on some scrap fabric and you're good to go! This special foot has made hemming 15 prom dresses from satin to chenille a breeze
