Expectations Met and Exceeded!
I've decided to allow my beard to grow. And grow. And grow. Okay....I'm TRYING to allow my beard to grow. Until now, I was one to keep my beard closely trimmed, so growing my beard is a personal challenge.I read that two things a man needs for good beard grooming is a good, boar bristle brush and quality beard oil. I've never had the need for either. Until a month and a half ago.I ordered some beard oil, got it and am trying it out. I may change to a different brand, or I may try developing my own. Time will tell. The brush, however, is a different story.I won't change brands or types. Period. This brush has exceeded all of my expectations. It fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and it has little recesses on either side to allow for a firmer grip. And the boar's bristles are incredibly soft, but firm! I don't know what type of grooming the boar used to keep his or her bristles is such good shape, but I am grateful. Thank you boar! This brush is making a task that has become a major event much easier with its comfort and ease of use. I enthusiastically recommend this brush for guys with bushes on their faces!

very soft bristles
The bristles are very soft and the brush is good quality. Too soft to actually brush my pet's fur but would be great for kids.

Nice brush. Marketing is misleading.
I like it. Its more plastic fibers than boar hairs, basically each node has some 50 fibers, and 6 or so boar hairs. Some hairs might be boar ass hairs since they're so short and comb nothing. The nodes are close to each other so you get even pressure, not a couple of strands stabbing your face. I would buy again but dont like how its marketed. NOT a boar hair brush, but rather a brush with decorative boar hairs for accent. I would buy again.

Very soft bristles
I like this brush for my cavalier king charles. It doesn't go through all the layers of his fur because it's too soft, but it smooths out his coat beautifully and it seems to cut down the static kling.

No regrets, great product!
This was my first ever bristle brush I purchased. As of late, I decided to grow a beard. I'm actually growing a medium stubble beard, not too long. This brush is perfect for me, but it would also work great for a full beard, even long beards. I decided to purchase a brush to maintain the beard. If I don't brush my beard, it starts to itch and irritate my skin. The brush is easy on the skin, it doesn't give a terrible scratch, yet it's very effective for brushing your beard. The wooded palm handle is nice and soft, and it's very comfortable to use. The I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beard brush.

Not a "Boar Bristle" brush
This is not a "boar bristle brush". It's a synthetic-bristle brush with one to three boar bristles per tuft to avoid the product description being a complete fabrication. I have a real 100% boar bristle brush with a mix of coarse and medium bristles in a slightly larger and much more substantially-tufted brush than this "Magic" one, but considering I paid twenty USD for it back in the early 1990s, it'd be twice that now if I could find one. Which is why I bought this "Magic" brush: to avoid the pain of losing the good one while traveling. The "Magic" brush works OK in that it makes the medium-to-short hair on my head go where it belongs, but it's not nearly as satisfying to use as the good one. I'd rate it two and a half stars if I could, but three for "it's OK" is close enough.

Excellent First Beard Brush
To any of the other new beardos out there who are just looking for a cheap brush to shape and tame flyaways, get this one. Works much better and is way faster than my mustache comb. Now I wouldn't know the difference between boar's hair and frog's hair. But this one works and is cheap, and no lost bristles so far. I'll update my review if it proves not very durable.UPDATE: I liked this brush so much I bought another to leave in my car. Both brushes are holding up splendidly after a month and a half.UPDATE 2: Both brushes holding strong after a year and a half. Very few lost bristles.

Mostly synthetic, stiffer than expected.
As noted by others, mostly synthetic. Listed as "soft" but I feel it's actually quite stiff. Loses a star because it's not as described, but still 4 star as it does get the job done and I'm actually kind of glad it's stiffer than expected, cuts through my beard better than my real boar brush and cleans skin better.
