Angled Sheepskin for Shure 1540
I purchased some Shure 1540 recently and its my favourite headphone to date above my old Hd58x and Dt1990 Pro.Hd58x was veiled in the midrange and to give an example most of Imagine Dragons music would just sound like noise to me due to the veiled midrange and the 1990's Imagine Dragons sounded terrible as the bass in the music sound really distorted.Shure 1540's fixes all of the above but before swapping to these pads the bass was too overpowering but now Imagine Dragons sounds unbelievable as the music is separated and no longer a blurry mess and sounds like it is meant to be heard as i can hear everything in between, great instrament separation and now the bass is deep, tight and layered with no longer overpowering over the rest of the frequency but the best bass iv heard on any headphone. Mids are very clear and smoothe and the highs have much more resolution but never fatiguing. In my opinion this headphone should have come from the manufacturer with these pads and has a rep for being too bassy with the original pads and claimed to be a neautral headphone which it is certainly not a neutral headphone but these pads change that.I was hesitant to buy these as i was afraid that they may bloat the bass and kill the highs but had the itch to try them as i prefer the feeling of leather more and also prefer how they look. This turned out to be a great risk as these pads have transformed a great headphone into a much better headphone. These are quality pads and absolutley NO reason to spend more on branded pads as at best they can only equal these i mean how they feel, look and stitching and the mostly the quality of the sound is outstanding. If you own a pair of Shure 1540's then seriously buy a set of these to bring your headphones alive, take seconds to install and fit perfectly, i promise you will thank me later.

Never Mind ‘Replacement’, These Are an Upgrade!
This is an excellent replacement pad.My Fostex TH900 pads have become tired. They were still just about ok but they started to flake and they were going flat and I was really in two minds about a replacement because I love the headphone. On seeing these new pads,I was delighted. Built beautifully and plush. The distance from my ears to the drivers has been increased and the seal is better, so I was really expecting the sound to become too bass heavy: especially the TH900 because they aren’t exactly bass shy.The surprise I got was that the bass is indeed quite full, but in my opinion, it integrates better with the mids than the original pads and that offsets the high treble that the Fostex has as well. So for me, it’s now a warm but extremely detailed listen and actually better than the original pads. They are so good, that I bought another pair for my Denon D2000 and the pads on those are still ok!The build is great and they are soft to wear. A bargain for my Fostex and I am absolutely delighted with what I see as a big sound improvement on the original. The TH900 was bassy, but the bass kind of sat on its own down there.Mids were recessed slightly.Treble had quite an aggressive bite at times.Even with this kind of sound, I still loved them. With the new pads, the bass has joined the mids more cohesively and the treble has a fraction less sting, so it’s overall way more balanced. So as far as I’m concerned this is an upgrade rather than a replacement. The TH900 sounds amazing now.

TH900MK2
So after getting my 900's Lawton modded I needed to get better pads than stock.First up ZMF ORI good fit but mids too subdued, Fostex 610 stock pads ( was recommended these ) nope too much boomy bass, dekoni elite sheepskin and fenstrated ( perforated) nope top end lost is sparkle and bass wasn't punchy. So I clasped eyes on the AHG fostex perforated leather pads, excellent fit and the sound across the range was back, bass and sub bass deep and punchy mids revealing but the highs just had that bit too much for me and had a touch of sibliance, probably because they were perforated. Then I saw these same dimensions etc as the AHG perforated but no perforation, took a gamble as I'm now around £200 plus in my pad rolling.... Bingo ! Sub bass/ bass excellent, mids smooth and revealing and highs clear without the piercing. A definitive winner and only £25 ! Highly recommended set of pads.

Phenomenal earpads for Fostex cans
I bought a pair of these instead of more expensive ones from ZMF, Dekoni, or Modhouse. Those all look laughably overpriced compared to these, which are ultra comfortable and great quality. Nice and soft, excellent stiching, they smell nice, and have great isolation and give the bass and soundstage a nice boost. Using these on a pair of T60RPs. Wonderful product, great job!

Easy recommendation
I got these pads to replace the set that came with a S/H pair of Fostex TX-X00 Purpleheart's and yes these are more comfortable, well built/sewn so I can't see any long term problems. There's more ear space than the OG pads which helps with the overall soundstage without sacrificing any imaging or detail. They also manage to tweak the original tuning by leaving the slamming bass, opening up the mids while still delivering detailed and shimmer highs...100% happy 🎧🎶👍

Fantastic for D9200
Another great hit from AHG: my Denon D9200 never sounded better. A bit more bass and more soundstage. Fantastic upgrade for just 25£. Eikon relegated in the closet...

NOT sheepskin.
Don't be fooled, these are made from "pleather". Based on the price I'm not surprised at all, actual Sheepskin leather replacement earpads are much more expensive.Ignoring the fact the description isn't even a little accurate, these are comfortable for what they are, but they will not last long before breaking down and leaving little bits of plastic everywhere.
