My husband is allergic to soy so we cannot have teriyaki and usually cannot eat any type of Chinese food. Tonight I made beef stir fry teriyaki with vegetables and it came out great. He truly enjoyed being able to have some type of teriyaki Chinese food tonight. Looking forward to trying it on some other dishes as well. It may not taste exactly like teriyaki sauce with soy sauce but it is so close I can't complain about it at all. If you're allergic to soy give this a try. No it does have sesame oil in it so if sesame is an issue then it would not be for you.

I've learned in my old age that almost everything upsets my digestive system, and gives me hemoplegic migraines. So this product has been a life saver! I mix equal parts this and tahini. Then marinade everything, use it as salad dressing or dipping sauce. It is the perfect sauce for people who love sauce but sauce hates them.

I just found out I was allergic to soy so I am not able to eat soy sauce. I was really craving stir fry and found a recipe that called for this item. It tasted delicious and you couldn’t even tell the difference between this and regular soy sauce. I would highly recommend and I will be purchasing this again.

As of July 2025, the ingredients have completely changed. Now tastes too sour because of all the vinegar in it. My 7 year old son is on a restricted diet due to medical reasons and he can no longer use this. The previous product (labeled "Soy Free Teriyaki", not this "the taste of bali" tamarind nonsense) was clearly superior both in ingredients and in taste. We are sad this is happening to what used to be a perfect product. All good things come to an end.

I usually buy these at Whole Foods but they were out so I had to pay a lot more to get these. LOVE their teriyaki flavor more than any other coconut amino brand

Big Tree Farms- Please never change this recipe. It is so dang good! It's slightly thicker than the other brands I have tried so it goes a little further. I substitute it in any recipe calling for soy sauce and cannot tell the difference at all! I also just pour it on leftovers that are bland to spice them up for lunch. Words cannot express how good this is.
