Melissa & Doug Decorate-Your-Own Piggy Bank

My kids; 3 and 7, love projects. This was perfect for them. They got to paint, re-paint, and paint it again until all the paint was used. It was a project success - it was easy, it had lots of paint, it still looked like a pig when finished, and yes, it could actually be used as a piggy bank after. There was pain of a lot of differant colors and some with sparkles (everyone loved that part). I also washed the pig once prior to the paint drying and had the the kidski paint it again!We did't test how well the ceramic pig would hold up on a drop-test onto our stone floors.The not so great. The pig is really small - a few inches at best. This didn't matter in the least to us.If you want to create an heirloom, this may/may not be it. If you are looking for something fun to do, quick and easy, and can benefit from little supervision, this is a great one-time project.

I'm only going to give this three stars because it came and it was super small I thought it was going to be a regular size piggy bank and it was as big as half of my hand and my daughter painted it in about 5 minutes and it only came with a few colors.I understand that they want to make it small for kids to paint but you couldn't even fit 3 bucks in change in this.I wouldnt recomend

These are nice for a kid to paint. It took my granddaughter about 20 minutes to paint the whole pig (I mean the WHOLE PIG). It is a very small bank but fun for the kids.

I should have read more closely. This thing is TINY! It's really cute, but it just about fit in the palm of my 6 year old granddaughter's hand. Fun craft, but not big enough to put much money in.

Product was smaller than I imagined(my fault for not reading specs) be careful with paint, it is not washable and hard to get off.However; very cute and is worth the $5. Great art project for a child.

Adorable idea, but the bank is much smaller than I realized. It is good quality, but unfortunately one of the paints was dried out (pink). Luckily I have lots of crafting paint so it wasn’t a big deal to use our own paint.

The actual piggy bank was so small that you can not actually put change in it. But it did come with plenty of stuff to decorate. Just wish it were bigger

I bought this as part of a bday present for a craft-loving 5yr old. It's about the size of a softball. It looked bigger to me in the picture, so I was surprised but at $5 it's what I should have expected. Nonetheless it's very cute and I'm sure the bday girl will enjoy decorating it. The packaging makes it look like a nice gift add-on too! I have prime shipping, and it arrived in 2 days as promised!

This was a gift but released it was way too small to hold any money in it other than maybe couple of dollars. But it is very cute and nice art project for little ones.

It is super small, the dimensions in the descriptions are for the box, not for the actual piggy bank. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this purchase.

Cadeau pour ma fille de 5 ans. L'idée d'une tirelire à décorer est super et c'est un bon produit, mais attention, la tirelire est toute petite: 5 cm de haut environ!! Je ne m'attendais pas à ça. Ma fille n'a pas eu l'air déçue, c'est le plus important.

Le cochon est plutôt mignon. Il y a plein de choses sympas pour le décorer. Par contre le cochon est vraiment vraiment petit. Il doit faire 8cm de long. Pas de grosse économie a mettre dans cette tirelire.
