Revoderm Immuvex SPF 40 UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Mineral Sunscreen helps prevent sunburn, decreases the risk of skin cancer and accelerated aging of skin. Immuvex is a natural, mineral (zinc oxide) based physical sun block and sunlight reflector that protects against the sun's harmful UVB surface rays which cause sunburn and deeper UVA wavelengths of ultraviolet light which cause cell damage that can lead to the development of skin cancers and that age the skin and cause wrinkles. The zinc oxide in Immuvex is an ultra-fine particulate that is easier to apply, is transparent and does not cause acne bumps. The consistency is not "thick" like other natural sunscreens and it is non-comedogenic making it suitable for oily skin. This sunscreen only needs to be applied once, being water and sweat resistant. It is not absorbed and is sensitivity-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free. The packaging is biodegradable bamboo. It is best applied using a micro-droplet technique or by mixing a small volume with Revoderm Multi-Vitamin moisturizer in the palm of the hand for application.
