This is a great goalie set for playing street hockey. My son is 12 years old and just about 5ft and the pads fit him well.

Heavy duty set, perfect for any player. I ordered this set as an introductory set for getting to some inner Merrill ice hockey. So far I’ve had no issues with it. Have used it for a couple intermural games and it does the job very well. The pads are very heavy duty and absorb the impact from tough shots very well. The pads do take a few games to break in and loosen up, but once they have reached a period of breaking in their incredibly easy and comfortable to maneuver in. I’ve had no issues with these pads so far.Their credibly simple and easy to put on and generally can we put on by yourself very quickly. I’ll admit I needed some help the first couple times. While we still have some work to do on the goalie skills, these pads are certainly helping I am looking forward to getting into the game more and more. Whether continue to play pick up games or pull the trigger and joining officially, these pads will certainly stay with me no matter what level of intensity I decide to play at.

If you or your kid is going to be a goalie this is set is made for you! There are leg pads, a glove, blocker, and everything you could need or want. Everything is stitched and made with high quality materials. Looks just as good if not better than I was expecting based on the photos! My family and I have purchased many different sporting items over the years and haven't ever experienced any issues (fingers crossed). So I'm really glad to report that I don't have any complaints and would recommend it! :)

This set is not a toy, it's the real deal and it is very much a high quality set so yes it is higher priced but it is also a serious sporting set so to me the price is likely justified. Really solid goalie set here -- the pads have some good padding to them, the blocker is decent, and the glove (while a bit stiff) is actually pretty decent. Overall, this turned out to be a much higher quality package of kid equipment than I thought it would be. The stitching is WAY better than a lot of the less expensive stuff you'd find in a lower-priced box store package, and the straps are holding up well despite us really pulling on them tightly -- I think this kit'll last a couple seasons of kid growth and then be able to be passed along to some other kiddo who'll be able to use it too. That said, I'd recommend the kids make sure to bring the gear inside when it rains - my guess is that this'd degrade pretty fast if left out in the elements. Also: this is for STREET HOCKEY -- don't think this can be used for real hockey or someone will certainly get hurt. Also: get a helmet!

Bought 2 of this set for the floor hockey league I run. At first, the kids loved everything about the sets, especially how well the glove closed and could contain the lightweight street hockey ball we use. We played though a few weeks and one of the kids showed me that one of the gloves was tearing apart where the wrist strap is. About two games later the other glove did the same thing. Pads and blockers are still good after repeated use.

I LOVED these pads. But.... I was really disappointing that the box that the pads came in was TOTALLY wrecked. And because of that, the pads had a rip. Fortunately, I fixed it. But Jeesh "great" shipping process.

This gear is awesome!! Superlight, and can handle the street hockey scene. Straps are great quality, block and scoop are junior size (adults could easily wear it - I'm 6' and I wear it. Lots of fun for all.
