This little unit works great on electrical heat shrink applications. My daughter uses it to melt candles she is making to smooth out sides and add decorations to the candles. This is my second purchase as we both are using it now. My older one has been working for a couple years now. No issues to report.

Well the price is good but my only complaint is the electrical cord is way too short! I have no idea why they'd put a cord that short on this heat gun. I have to take my picture or whatever I'm working on to the closest electrical outlet in my house right now to use it. I thought I was saving myself some money on this gun but now I have to buy an extension cord too! Other than that, works great! So, if you too settle on purchasing this heat gun, may I recommend also buying an extension cord keeping in mind to make sure your extension cord is not overheating. That could be a fire hazard.
