Jensen 1454 Mirage Octagonal Frameless Medicine Cabinet with Beveled Mirror

The mirror works well with our almost 100-year-old house/bathroom. Better quality than expected given some of the reviews (also, the shelves are glass, not plastic). Kudos to the third-party seller, who contacted the manufacturer to obtain shelves that were missing. Also, the mirror was well packaged by both the seller and the manufacturer.

Exactly as pictured and arrived in pristine condition due to meticulous packaging. Very high quality mirror and easy to install since we were replacing an existing recessed medicine cabinet. Ample storage and looks great. Medicine cabinets are becoming harder and harder to find. These seemed a bit pricey, but they are well made and the beveled edge and octagon shape are very impressive. We are searching for some way to put a "handle" on the cabinet so that the mirror does not become pitted from constantly touching it to open and close it, which was the issue with the medicine cabinet we replaced this with (which was 20 years old). Any suggestions out there?

This mirror is just beautiful and so well constructed. Very expensive looking and such a great price. Nice for a smaller bathroom or half bath over a pedestal sink. We recessed it into the wall which was a very easy installation> Buy it, you'll love it!

It really looks great and appears well-made, but after I hung it, the mirror was off by about 2 degrees when the med cabinet was dead-level. I wish I could loosen the mounting screws, but I'm afraid of breaking it. I recommend saving All packing materials until you have hung it - you may have to return it.

Great cabinet that is symmetrical; can be hung for mirror to swing right or left. Big mirror helps extend the view in a small space where this fit perfectly as a recessed installation (replacing a 1950 medicine cabinet). Mirror is high quality, along with all other parts. Came very well packaged; highly recommend this unique product.

I tried to install this mirror today. It came really well packaged, but something didn't look right as I took it out of the box. The dimensions given in the description for both versions of this mirror, "New Packaging" and "Standard" say the opening needs to be 14x18 inches. But this "New Packaging" mirror is 14.5 x 18.5 inches wide (packaging label gives 0.5 inch of 15 x 19 inches opening, see label)! I'm so very disappointed that this will not fit in my opening. I could adjust my height by cutting down my drywall a bit, but there's no way I can adjust my width as the studs are 14 inches apart. This "New Packaging" inside of the cabinet has 90 degree corners, rather than the rounded edges as shown in the "Standard" photos...which is probably why this is a half inch larger on each side. I hope everyone reads this review before buying! I'm so frustrated! EDIT: I also contacted the manufacturer of Jensen cabinets directly, Rangaire MFG. Originally their customer service also claimed it WAS for a 14 x 18 inch opening but as soon as I sent them the photo of their own label they then said there was a body change to the cabinet and that they only had the old spec sheet on file, not the new one yet. I'm worried if I buy another of their 14 x 18 inch opening cabinets I'll have this same issue.

The mirror is a good bit larger than the medicine cabinet itself. It is well made, and was packed so that a bowling ball probably could have been dropped on it and the mirror would have stayed intact! It looks great in my bathroom. Though I do wish it has more substantial shelves - the ones that come with it are plastic.

Like a few others I have been very gentle, but the coating has worn. Additionally, an inside corner has bubbled and pitted and rusted. Solid and beautiful other than that
