Excellent light for the money
I have been using this light for about 18 months and have been extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the length of charge. The light is run in flash mode on all of my rides. Currently charging it up for the 4th time this year after almost 2500 miles ridden. Cannot be happier with the longevity of the charge which well exceeds what is promised. The brightness has been effective at warning oncoming drivers and has been the difference in preventing a couple of drivers from making poor decisions. Highly recommend this product. Light was purchased in March of 2023.

Very bright with long battery life
Really like this. Bought it for my MTB so I don't have to worry about getting back before dark. But I have taken to also using it on my fat tire ebike when I occasionally have to ride on the street. I try to avoid riding on the street but sometimes I have to, to get from one path to the next. When riding on the street in daylight, I use the strobe and feel like it greatly enhances my visibility. At night, the brightest setting is just a bit too much for road use but excellent for off-road. Mounts just as easily to my MTB handlebars as to the steel basket on the front of my Rad Rover 6+ (about 1/2-inch diameter). If you are serious about long night rides in the moonless forest, there are probably better options. But if you just need a bright light to get home in the dark (and still have fun doing it), this is a great value.

So bright!
This is actually my second AMP1100 - I was in a crash and I snapped the first one off of my handlebars after flipping over them. Even then I was impressed with how the light broke (still functional) and the construction of the attachment which was visible after I snapped it.This light is very bright - on the brightest setting it does a great job of illuminating the woods at dusk. For the roads I prefer the dimmest setting. I also like the blinking feature - it's really helpful for being more visible while biking in the rain. I find the battery life to be excellent and I like the feature that the power button shows me the battery status. Finally, I have tried a few lights and I really like how this one is mounted. The screw design is much less likely to break and I have lost other poorly constructed lights to bumps in the road because it wasn't as sturdy as a cateye. It's worth the extra money to get this!

Great light, but not usb-c
The media could not be loaded. Great light so far. The dimmest setting is fine for riding in the darkest areas of a decently lit area. If I hit a section that’s completely dark due to some lights being out, I can just double-click the button to instantly turn on max brightness (which is BRIGHT). Once I’m out of the dark section, single click to get back to the mode I was on. No problems with battery life either. For reference, I got the 1100 lumen version. The mount is simple to install and putting the light on or taking it off is super simple and takes 2 seconds, perfect for when I lock my bike up somewhere and don’t want to leave my light on it.Only complaint is that I would’ve liked to see type c charging. The little micro usb “cable” that came with the light is literally 2 inches too.People aren’t charging things with micro usb from their laptops anymore.

A Great Light and the Drivers Do See You
This is the right illumination for the price! Drivers saw me and said it was very bright, Being rechargeable means that I can charge it up during a long day and have it ready to go for night riding!

Powerful bike light
It fits my bike ideally. Doesn’t weight much. Easy to remove and use as a flashlight. Perfect for the early morning commute.

Junk after less than a year because of faulty switch design
This expensive bike light is broken after less than a year. But, I should not be surprised because the switch design is really dumb. However, it's not just Cateye that uses this substandard design. From what I have found in my research, all bike light manufacturers make their lights this way. I'll explain below why this is the dumbest design ever. Anyway, I'm not even going to replace my bike light with a bike light. I'm going to mount a flashlight to my handlebars. The switch on this Cateye bike light (and all others that I have discovered) is a single push button. This single button controls all six "modes" of the light — (1) On (2) Off (3) High beam (4) Low beam (5) Slow strobe (6) Fast strobe. Note that when you turn the light on, by default it is in whatever mode it was in when you turned it off. Bearing this in mind:I use my bike light every day. However, I don't 'cycle through' the various modes of this light...I only turn the thing on and and off (I keep it in low beam mode), so therefore I am NOT putting a lot of unnecessary wear and tear or stress on the button switch. And yet, less than a year after purchasing, this chintzy little push button no longer functions. I can no longer turn on this light. I actually saw this coming a few months ago. It didn't just stop working one day. The button began not responding a few months ago, and sometimes I had to really push down hard to turn my light on and off. And now, it just doesn't respond at all.Again, I am not surprised. Designing a light to use a single, flimsy push button switch to control six modes of that light is dumb. Soooo dumb. I suppose these bike light manufacturers build them this way deliberately and they count on "pre-planned obsolescence", i.e. their junk is going to wear out faster than it should, so they can sell you a new bike light every year.I hope you bike light manufacturers read this review because I'm going to recommend a new switch design, except it really will be TWO switches and it will NOT be push buttons that take a lot of stress. You need to design a light with two slide switches. One slide switch will control two modes: on and off. The other slide switch will control the "states" of the light: high beam, low beam, fast strobe, slow strobe. Slide switches are durable, much more so than buttons, and last almost forever.Until some manufacturer comes out with a bike light that doesn't use a single button switch (dumbest design idea ever and I should have realized its shortcomings before purchasing this light), I'm going with my flashlight idea. It may not be pretty, but my flashlight will still be working a year from now while my Cateye AMPP500 will be at the bottom of a landfill. Sad.

Ultra bright but heavy.
Good quality, ultra bright light with multi light option but is quite heavy. Will only use it one long ride at night.

Ampp800 Battery Needs Improvement
I've had my Cateye for just over a year that I use occasionally. It's a nice solid build and the light intensity is good. However recently I notice that the charging red light indicator turns off after less than a minute, indicating that it's no longer charging. Rather disappointing given the price.

Dead after 6 months usage
Purchased two lights. First one came dead on arrival. Battery couldn't charge up. Second unit went dead after 6 months, with the same issue.Pretty decent lights, but seems like the charging issue is a common problem.

Pricy but top quality.
I liked the quick delivery. Easy to use. Light has various functions that extremely useful if you're riding your bicycle at night. You're guaranteed safe and quality service. I would say it's a bit overpriced but I understand that I'm paying for top quality product which I don't mind.
