Puts out a lot of light!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Puts out a lot of light! I needed additional overhead lighting in dining room after buying a unique but not so bright light for a center piece. Only recommendation is to make sure your hole to insert light is not too big. The size specified on instruction is easier to get control box through but easily can get too big for light to seal well. Measure twice and cut once! Then enjoy these bright LED's you will love!

My workbench loves these!
These are so simple to install. They are lightweight and functional. The sizes are easy to work with and I'm getting no flickering or fading. The price and ease of use make these lights a great value!

Excellent LED canless lighting
Excellent LED canless lighting system. These are easy to install and provide pleasant lighting. I had to replace all of the ceiling lights and the dimmer switch after a lightning strike at my house and these worked perfectly. The adjustable color temperature feature is also very good. 5 stars.

Brighten your room or work shop
I have used sunco 5600k and 6000k lights. When we moved to this house, we immediately remodeled. The fist set of six worked so well we bought another 6 to use in our bathroom. Then the bedroom remodel. 24 total now. Cause the they really do well and look fantastic, so I literally lined my workshop with them. ( swinging lumber won’t break any bulbs now). And they are fabulous for lighting! They don’t flicker like some I’ve seen and for the cost; an excellent purchase.Fast forward two years. I had a coupe fail. Contacted the manufacturer; they have a 7 yr warranty!! WTH?? They sent replacements right away. I was totally blown away by the rapid response and theexpedient delivery of replacements! I don’t use dimmers, but they are dimmable. Highly recommend these light for any room for main lighting or supplemental lighting.

Not worth the risk
Like many homeowners, I’m always on the hunt for a good deal or a way to save money with projects around the home. These lights seemed like a great way to do so—after all, who can go wrong with a product that has thousands of good reviews? So, I picked these up to have an electrician install in our house. When they came in, I noticed it was a plastic box. It threw me off at first, but I remembered that most receptacle boxes are plastic, and I didn’t think anything of it.When our electrician came to install the lights, he expressed much concern about this product, and I boiled it down to a few key areas:1. Plastic boxes. With these being plastic, and not metal, there is no way that these boxes themselves can be grounded. Therefore, if there is any wiring issue inside these boxes, then the circuit won’t ground out and trip, causing a fire hazard. Not to mention that these simply feel like cheap plastic.2. Small boxes. This is more of a hassle for the installer, but these boxes simply cannot easily contain a cable coming in, and a cable coming out. Leaves more room for error, and something going wrong.3. Lack of ground. This was a big one for me. There is no ground wire in the box, and since it’s plastic, the ground wire in a standard Romex cable is basically useless. If something goes wrong, the wires will simply keep heating the plastic box.4. Heat of the box itself. This is something I discovered after a few minutes of use. I was able to evaluate the boxes from above in the attic, and I found that after only a few minutes of the lights being on, these black boxes got hot. Not untouchably hot, but hot enough that burying these in insulation in an attic felt like a fire hazard. Given that these lights are rated for insulation contact, this was surprising.5. Improperly sized wire nuts, lack of push in cable connector. These are smaller issues, but the wire nuts weren’t the correct size for combining three wires, and the lights did not come with any sort of cable connector to secure the wire to the box — another hazard. All of these items combined, at least to me, come across as a product that is unsafe and should not be installed in homes. I’m not an electrical expert, but based on what my electrician said and my evaluation of the product, this is my experience. The lights themselves seem to be fine quality, but the electrical box is certainly the weak point.I ended up installing a set of lights from a hardware store that have a larger, metal box, with a ground, pre-installed Waco style connectors, and don’t heat up nearly as much. Yes, they are twice the price, but I feel much better about installing them on my home.
