Civil War Toy Soldiers Playset Commemorative Confederate Infantry 22 Piece Set by Classic Toy Soldiers

Six of the 22 Confederate soldiers were seriously warped. They looked like they had just been shot, and so, were just starting to fall forward or fall backward. I tried bending them to fix this, but the result was still unsatisfactory. Those six of 22 soldiers DO NOT LOOK like the ones I had as a boy, and that was THE WHOLE POINT OF BUYING THEM.

These reissued toy warriors of a Lost Cause are in incredible detail and accurate depiction of "real" humans, with believable posture and facial qualities. The Marx Co. artists' and technicians' original work has been faithfully duplicated for these reissued combatants. Purchase them with confidence and enjoy them yourself or give them as gifts to generals of all ages. I find the depiction of the Confederates to be more interesting generally than those of Marx's Union soldiers. In any case, the reissued soldiers of either army are of exceptionally high quality and a welcome return to the joys their original comrades brought to me over 50 years ago.

These are the same Civil War soldiers that I played with as a boy, in the very early '60s! This is pure nostalgia!I'm impressed with the quality of the re-molding. There are no burrs, no imperfections. The detail of uniform parts and faces is somehow better than the originals!These are fault-less, perfect!
