I used this self-fusing silicone tape in my van conversion where I couldn't find standard insulating covers to fit unusual electrical connections. This stuff is great! It's very flexible and conforms to any shape. It doesn't stick to much, except itself. It makes a very strong bond to itself (not much else though) and is hard to take apart once it sticks. It feels like two pieces of duct tape with adhesive sides together. You basically need to cut it off. That's good for keeping conductive surfaces covered. Highly recommend. I went through my entire electrical system and was able to cover any exposed conductors (wires, busbar ends, etc.).

I had a small leak at a joint on a pipe in my basement from my kitchen sink. It was going to take a few days for my plumber to come out, so I got this tape. It was super easy to use and works great! No leaking at all!

This self fusing silicone tape is very good. Not only is it thick and well packaged in a plastic case, in comes in multiple colors and is very wide (1.5 inches) and thick (-30 mils). This is handy for two reasons.1. It does not not stick to itself easily compared to the 20 mil stuff2, less turns when you need to wrap somethingAnother reason this stuff is great is the fact that it has a high coefficient of friction which is very useful when keeping a powerful neodynium magnet with high pull force on a smooth iron or steel vertical surface from sliding down with a vertical load since it will likely have significantly lower holding power on a smooth surface when the load vector is suboptimal for the magnet. A piece of this silicone fusing tape under the magnet very effectively keeps the magnet from slippingBet you didn’t think of that as a possible application.Great quality….price, a little high ( but worth it IMHO)Highly recommended!

Great stuff works great!

Silicon tape, in general, is incredible. This stuff will reliably seal a pvc pipe or a water hose with absolutely zero leakage. That said, it’s important to stretch out the tape as you are wrapping it; doing so ensures a tight seal. I particularly like this specific product because the width of the tape is 1.5” instead of 1” like most others.

I’m a Ham Radio Operator and I needed to extend my outside coax run so I added extra 50’. I used a barrel connect to link the ends of coax together and since it is outside I need to weather proof from rain and snow (live in NYC). This works great, very strong adhesion to itself, I did a few layers and I’m good to go. I also put a few layers of electrical tape on top to help with UV protection from the sun.

Amazing tape. Held great, did not expect it to work as good as it did. Great stretch.

It will slow small leaks, but is definitely not meant for anything bigger than a pin hole. $159 later, I just paid to fix the pipe.
