HP Envy 13 13-aqXXXX 13-AQ0005NR/Pavilion Aero 13 13-beXXXX case

I recently purchased a new laptop and wanted to keep it safe and I love the Starry Night painting. This protective case cover is exactly what I needed! Not only does it feature the beautiful artwork I adore, but it also provides excellent protection for my laptop. The material is super sturdy and durable, offering great defense against scratches and bumps. The elastic rubber design is a perfect fit and securely holds the screen in place, giving me peace of mind knowing my laptop is protected. It's both functional and stylish—exactly what I was looking for!

This is a repurchase because I got a bigger laptop. I used the last on for years and I anticipate this one will last several years as well. I have traveled on the road and on airlines with this, and I feel confident my laptop is secure.

Preface: The review and images were all put together after 3+ years of near daily use. Actual rating is 3.5 stars. I was not compensated for this review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are mine only. TLDR: I’ve run this slim PU-leather folio on my 15.6″ Asus Q538EI Flip 15 every day since March 2022. It still keeps the top and bottom scratch-free and vanishes in your bag—but one corner strap finally tore in March 2025, the little front flap is a constant PITA, and it offers zero side-impact or drop protection (mine mangled the charge port and shorted the board). That said, for $24.60, I got my money’s worth. Full Review: I grabbed this Alapmk folio back in March 2022 to protect my Flip 15 without adding bulk. Three years later, the exterior still looks solid—no peeling, cracking, or stains—and the soft, cashmere-style lining has spared my laptop’s shell from any scuffs (although the stitches have worn out over time). At under a pound and less than an inch thick, I barely notice it in my backpack. The elastic corner bands grip the chassis like a vice, which is great…until one finally snapped in two this past March when I slipped during installation. I’ve always been careful, so I expected a bit more longevity out of those straps. And then there’s that tiny front flap you tuck under to keep the cover closed—listing never made a big deal of it, but it’s now my least-favorite ritual every time I power on. On the plus side, the hidden “fan gap” underneath keeps the side and bottom vents completely unobstructed. I’ve never seen extra heat or heard my fans ramp up, even when I prop the laptop in stand mode. That promise holds true. Unfortunately I learned its limitations after I dropped my laptop on its charger side while it was plugged in, and this folio did nothing to save the port or motherboard. I know it never claimed to be a crash pad, but I learned the hard way that it protects only against everyday scratches (that too, only on the top and bottom)—nothing more. Overall, considering it lasted three solid years of daily use, I really can’t complain. I wouldn’t call it a premium product, but it pulled its weight and was decent value for money. Why 3.5★ (rounded up to 4): 1★: Scratch Protection – Top and bottom chassis look flawless after three years. 1★: Ventilation – No heat or noise penalty, just like advertised. 1★: Low-Profile Carry – Feather-light and slim keeps it out of your way. ½★: Material Quality & Durability – PU leather looks decent enough but the stitches in the linings do wear out over time. The rigidity of the straps also makes installation a bit trickier, and can easily cause them to rip as it did for me. 0★: Drop & Dust Protection – Zero side-impact or drop protection for the bottom chassis. This also means dust will enter your ports without issue (if that is something that concerns you). Depending on your screen size, you may or may not have inadvertent protection for the screen chassis from bumps to the side (but again, not drops). Takeaway: If you need a low-key sleeve that guards your device against typical day-to-day use, scratches, and keeps it cool, this folio delivers. Just don’t expect it to survive drops, shield your ports, or last forever. For under $25, it did its job—and I have gotten adequate mileage out of it.

Didn't see my Envy model and whether it fit or didn't so I gave it a shot, it fits! The heat flap is meant to be laid over towards the back with this tiniest Gap I really think I should stand higher. With great effort I can do this pictured above, but I don't like the torture of continual balance. If this slit was more of the bottom creased in half to form a triangle and placed in a groove in the created pocket it would make for a better heat breathing product. As it is I'm going to have to get creative in finding a better answer to lifting it off the felt a reasonable distance. Good quality love the feel I have to have my Galaxy theme thank you for providing that. The trapper keeper feel is a must. But I think there needs to be a redesign if you want to claim breathability. I will continue with this product but with great difficulty in protecting the life of my computer from a buildup of heat.

I currently am writing this review 4 years after i purchased this item. (Because i forgot too :p) but i can tell you this case is still holding up like it was the day i bought it. So let this review be evidence that this is worth the money! BUY IT!

Super cute case, but not it does not protect Your laptop. The little arrangements that go around your computer screen are for looks. It does not grasp on yo tour screen. It’s made out of the same material as the case “faux leather” but it doesn’t Clíp or adjust properly to your screen. The little “elastics” that should go on the screen are also difficult to adjust and i personality think it should be a little bit more stretchy or just placed differently. I’m not sure what that little opening at the bottom is for? ride beside it there was some material indents not sure what is from.

This is a beautifully made, functional case. I bought the red version. It fits exactly, with all the cutouts in the right places. When the case is open, it creates a gap between it and the computer base, so the fan vents are not blocked. I've noticed no increase in heat, so air exchange works well. The magnetic closure is tight and the overall look of the case is sleek. Highly recommend.

My wife recently purchased this case, to help protect her HP Envy laptop, as she began needing to take it to school for work. It fits the laptop very well (in fact, it’s so snug it can be difficult to install at first) It feels sturdy, and like it will protect the laptop great for traveling. My only potential gripe, would be as it’s made of solid material, heat seems to build up if you use your laptop for longer durations of time. I worry about the heat potentially damaging her laptop, so we primarily use it now as a travel case, and take the case off when using the computer itself.

Un po' macchinosa da applicare, ma è molto bella e particolare esteticamente, oltre ad offrire un'ottima protezione per il pc. Purtroppo ne aumenta decisamente le dimensioni, motivo per cui ho fatto il reso visto che cercavo una protezione per il mio laptop da infilare nel bagaglio a mano e avrei dovuto sacrificare spazio nella valigia.
