Great quality
These are not really needed for most people (unless you need help holding your pants up).The shoulder holster system is designed so well the pistol and magazines stay where they are supposed to even when bending 45 degrees.

Excellent Product Works with Vertical Holster Too
Purchased this to go with my Galco VERTICAL Shoulder Holster. Honestly did not realize at the time that it wasn't listed as the correct part for the Vertical, but for the Miami Shoulder Holster. Since I had already ordered it, I tried it out. Works just fine. Plus it's about 10 bucks cheaper. And in spite of some of the reviews I've read for the Vertical Holster, you can tie down both the Holster and Mag carrier. So it works great. Helps stabilize the holster by looping the rig through your belt. Although with the Galco Vertical unless going into combat, you don't really need the extra security. The Vertical holster is top notch. If you marry the right holster with your pistol, it's not going anywhere. I don't care how much bending over or other strenuous movement you do. But if you do, these tie downs will lend some comfort in knowing that your rig won't swing out. So for the price, I would strongly suggest having these for those times. Well worth the money. Just fyi. I have mine on a Vertical Galco for the 1911 Springfield .45 Cal. Best rig I've ever purchased.

Works on Classic II, Stays Snapped
I bought this for the Galco Miami Classic II, and it works like a charm. I like my weapon and magazines to be in a forward position. Attaching the tie downs (yes, this purchase includes one for the magazine and weapon side) to the front side of the waist pulls the holster forward, changing the horizontal positioning of the weapon to a diagonal position. Most of the uninitiated will like this because it points the gun at the ground and not directly behind you in case of an accidental discharge when holstering or unholstering the weapon. Also, people feel safer standing behind you in a grocery store line if they're not looking down the barrel of a firearm. The only negative I have experienced is that the tie down for the magazine side is not adjustable. As such, I had to adjust the straps on the holster to bring it closer to my waistline. However, with practice, this slight adjustment has not hampered drawing the weapon at all. In fact, having it secure in a forward position has improved my reaction time.

Noisy
Purchased for use w/ a Galco "Jackass rig" shoulder holster. The holster itself is great, but these tie-downs use a different length adjustment system, with a series of snaps. These are both noisy when you walk, and also difficult to don and remove, without accidentally opening the wrong snap. Functionally they are alright - keep the holster in place with a 4lb+ 1911

Great, but....
I am a tall guy (6'4") and I like to wear my holster "higher" up along side of my bicep near or above the upper side of my elbow. I find this to be more comfortable and more concealable compared to wearing it near the lower side of the elbow. The problem is, when I wear my holster that high the tie downs are not long enough to hook to my belt. This forces me to lower my holster, making it more uncomfortable and less concealable. Because of this, I do not use the tie downs. Also (this is probably obvious to most people), I did think about the fact that you have to tuck in your shirt to use the tie downs. I am not a person who tucks in my shirt often, which is another reason I do not use the tie downs. I gave it 5 stars because it is a great product if you take what I have said into consideration.

You kinda need them
Colors are different from the holster rig. Light jingle when moving.

Very poorly designed
I agree with many of the other reviewers that the straps are WAY too short. The idea of a Miami style holster is to keep the firearm close to the armpit. This straps it down too low to get a proper grip on the firearm to withdraw and present. That makes if very dangerous to use. And the strap on the magazine side is so short that the magazines almost rub on your belt. Galco has a reputation for some of the best holsters in the business, but these straps need to be taken off the market permanently!
