Almost five stars except for the color, gray is fine in an industrial setting, but this controls a light & outlets by my pool and white would have been my first choice. This replaced the one I had originally installed about 16 years ago and the construction is significantly better than my first one, but I ran into a snag while putting this one in & I thought others may run into it as well.As I was replacing the old one with this, I thought I had it in place with the actual toggle of the switch properly, but as I tightened the screws, I was unable to move the switch, I figured it wasn't compatable with the switch I had used and took it back off to see it there was something different with the switch.Everything seemed like it should be, so I tried to put it on again, moving the switch lever up and down as I put the screws in. As I tightened the screws while moving the lever, I felt the lever for the switch "catch" and move freely and I could "flip" the switch lever up & down easily. It works great now, I don't know if has happened to anyone else, but it doesn't hurt to mention it. Out side of looking like it should be on the outside of a manufacturing building (I'm starting to get used to it), it's well made and work very well.

Seals well against moisture. This model has improved flip cover on plug, opens to side rather than up. Cover on older flip up model too flimsy

Unusual switch plate for outdoors but just what I wanted for the battery charger and light.

The configuration was exactly what I was looking for so I was hopeful that it would work, given a few negative reviews. As others have noted, I needed to use longer screws (which I had to provide) to reach the wiring devices and pull the cover plate down to the box. The switch mechanism you need to make sure you align properly with the switch and again, pull down to engage. Some reviews said the switch mechanism broke or didn’t work but I suspect that would have been due to installation issues. Works perfectly, but I would have given it 5 stars if provided with longer screws and if the switch mechanism had a little longer reach.

Although I have extensively used other exterior weatherproof covers of similar design in my days, they were of a different manufacturer of different age, I'm much more pleased with this particular design. I'm stoked at the way the switching mechanism functions...it's so smooth and graceful. The design of the switching mechanism has certainly been upgraded...works extremely well...smooth!

Doesn't come with switch. Must use old type wall light switch. Mechanism inside toggles the switch with a latch.Cool, Quick plate removal for old round plug or square type.Spring loaded door is very weak and seal is not the best hard foam. Not a good quality seal at the door. The outer rim seal is good when fully screwed on.Still buy it but use other sealant or different foamUses double gang box.

The device was drilled for an outdoor box, but someone in their infinite wisdom installed a box that's meant for indoors in the brick which meant the cover wouldn't fit, but,... In fact it has prepositioned outlines for holes to drill out and install on the receptacle and switch. Installed easy and works fine. No issues... Flicked the switch about 10 times so far without problem. Don't expect any.
