If you know the story .. You know 💓...This (along with the oak tree ) was my favourite storey wen i was little... I forgot it.. Till I had a granddaughter.. Now we read it together and I love it. It's the most loveliest way to write to a child .. Love is love and you are loved xxx

Lovely illustrations, sturdy hard back cover and clear, clean text. However, some of the images are slightly blurry, and the borders from the scans of the old books aren't always aligned with the pages of the new, but this is possibly a side effect of the recovery process.

I bought this "velvety" feeling version of the original book and it's an absolute delight and a wonderful "old fashioned" story that both children and adults will love,it took me back to my childhood when I read it and it's so lovely to hold, ...this book is a little treasure
