Quick intro about me:~I am 29~I have a hormonal imbalance. I was on Progesterone pills (taking 1 a day for 5 days) to aid me in having a menstrual, not anymore though~I have always had irregular periods meaning I can go 4-6 months with out one~ Preparing my body for a baby. My husband and I are trying to conceivePurpose for taking this:~To regulate my hormones~increase energyPros:~Package arrived very QUICK and was sealed properly~The color is CONSISTENT with no strange variations. It's a creamy off white color~ The smell is FRESH with no foul smell. It aroma is like nutty in nature~ Maca has meshed well with my system. I have not felt any discomfort~ The powder is fine like flourCons:~ It's just my preference by I don't like the fact that it comes in a plastic bag. I personally would have prefer a glass jarExpectations:~ this batch is meeting my expectations so far*I will give an update once I am finish with the bag to note whether or not it has regulated my hormones, however I can say that I do feel more energy** Just in case if you are wondering how I consume it. I use 1 tsp a day. I use a real measuring spoon and mix it with either oatmeal (I make plain oatmeal and add fruits and honey and a dash of milk) a homemade green smoothie ( natural smoothie with veggies and berries and purified water) or a homemade fruit smoothie ( ex. 1 cup if milk and 2 cups of mangoes) The first time i took it I mix 1 tsp with bout a cup of milk.*** Just to note about the warning label, go to their site and they will further explain it to you. Also read the prop if you are really nervous. But please understand that they are required to and i am sure a host of other food companies are required to as well to put this label on their products, but they don't. Just to further put this warning label in perspective (because I have always and only lived in California) even Disney Land has a warning sign up on their property as well as apartments/ condos, dishes and other items. You will even see this label in certain stores... I know I have seen this warning quite a bit.I am not dumbing down this important prop just want you to be aware of it in its totality. I can’t speak to the power of this product yet as I only started taking it a couple of days ago. It smells like when you’re in an apartment hallway and all the various culturally different delicious foods are cooking but as the aromas blend it smells off-putting and slightly meaty. The taste is very different from the smell, and reminds me of when I accidentally drank from a cup of water that my friend had been putting spent cigarettes in. I don’t know much about Maca except that it’s supposed to be good for my exhausted adrenal glands, so I power through, but I just shake it up with some water and block my nose cause I’m not tainting a whole smoothie with this.

....because THAT is how effective it is! At least for me. I've done the BCAA's, Creatine, and a variety of other quality training supplements and I always go as natural as i can find. While much of it is effective, I have NEVER experienced the energy boost this stuff provides! It kicks in within 10-15 minutes and jacks your workouts like nothing you have ever used or tried!! ...with NO jitters or other side effects. I don't use it every day because I don't NEED it every day. But if its my workout day and I'm feeling a little sluggish about getting after it, this stuff is the cure. It is fuels your body in a way nothing else does. I still use a few items from Bulk Supplements, pre and post workout. But the Novitas Maca is in a class by itself for what I've described. As for the myriad of opinions about the bad taste, get over it. I down it with coffee or juice or just about anything but water. Do I still taste it a little? Yes, but hey--its worth it for the RESULTS. People whine a lot about taste. You don't buy this stuff for the taste. Chew some gum for a few minutes if the aftertaste lingers---there's plenty of ways to disguise it. Be creative. If thats the one disappointment for all the good you get, I'm fine with it.(one last thing----READ the directions & FOLLOW them! No need to take more than what it says)

The taste is really strong but it works for me

I was looking for Maca at stores and they only had big bags and those are expensive. I found this on Amazon for less and the size and price was perfect.The quality is great.The flavor is perfect in my smoothie recipes.The packaging is just right.

Since being diagnosed in 2016 with a severe case of Crohn's desease. I've choose a more holistic approach after many failed infusion medication attempts for my incurable desease. After many hours of research my list of necessary supplements & proper weight gaining protein powder needed for my vitamin & protein absorption I always include this delicious Maca powder! It's a slightly nutty, vanilla flavoring with the end product being smooth not gritty & when you think it can't get much better it does, the boost I get after my shake is a noticeable and last substantially for hours throughout the day! I highly recommend this product.I'm vacationing for 2 weeks and forgot my Maca powder, ordered it on Amazon w/free shipping it arrived the following day. After arrival I noticed powder on other items ordered & realized a slight miss in the machine seal on top of the bag, I wrote a review regarding this issue opting to keep the product. However within 2days the seller sent me a brand new bag without my knowledge! I was so surprised & needless to say extremely pleased I was able to find a vendor that reads there reviews and acted so exponentially on the situation I will continue purchasing my product from them & highly recommend them and their superb product!
