Always TEST your discs in a PLAYER!
I know it sounds more or less like something you should always do. And when I say test, I mean, after the writing software has finished 100% successful & has verified contents of the disc, then finally spits out your finished BD-R/BD-R DL disc. Now, I have 5+ years experience with writing BD-R media, and over 15+ years regarding DVD-R media & the hobby in general. I’ve never had a disc successfully finish burning without any errors, and pop out 100% verified only for all 3 different kinds of Bluray players in my home not be able to load the disc WHATSOEVER!THAT IS, until I ordered a 10pk batch of these dual-layered discs. I had 2 of the 9 I’ve used so far do this exact same thing as described above. And now that I think about it, the only time I’ve had issues with any brand/size of BD-R media is when the discs are logo printed/branded on the top. I’ve never had issues with any matte white inkjet printable surfaced media. And I think I’ll be going back to them exclusively. But again, you STILL should test them in your standalone Bluray player just to be 100% sure they read, even if they make it thru the entire writing/verification process your PC runs the disc through. Your player and/or PS3/4 still might not recognize it as a playable disc. :(

Storage Capacity
I like the size of storage. Up to 45GB of data can be stored on 1 disc.

Great Product, dual layer disc's are Great.
Love the Disc's. My only complaint is price. Too much money forthese disk's. Technology is old now, disk's should be no more than$ 15 for a 10 pack now.

A Totally Reliable Blu-ray Recordable Disc
These BD-R DL 50GB Recordable disc's have been my favorite for the last 5 or 6 years. I have NEVER experienced a failure using these disc's. The life span of the disc's is also a major factor to consider. I have had Major Brand BD-R DL 50GB disc's fail after a year. On the same note I have never had one of these fail and some I have had for up to 6 years with back ups of my favorite Blu-ray movies on them that play as well as the Blu-ray that I backed up. The key is to first use good software to make your copy or rip, then do not record directly from the folder that contains the data but rather make an ISO image of the movie and then burn your Blu-ray from that image. Doing so allows the user to verify the data or image prior to committing it to a disc that can be expensive. This also allows the user to choose where to "Split" the data that is being written to a Dual Layer Disc which means that the Layer is essentially "Page Two" of the 2 page movie, and the place where that data splits is or can be critical to the success of the finished product. This is why an application such as IMGBurn is suggested for this purpose, and it is amazingly 100% free to the user and the most reliable software I have used to record DVD and Blu-ray disc's. One last note, Optical Quantum doesn't manufacture their disc's so its a good idea to identify the disc's that are working well for you. Going from a 4x to a 6x disc will most likely be a totally different manufacturer which may give the user totally different results which is why I only buy the 4x BD-R 25GB and the 6x BD-R DL 50GB disc's from OQ, and they work every time, and that is after well over 1,000 25GB disc's and 600 of the 50GB disc's.
