I needed a larger electric kettle (1.7 l) and after reading many reviews, I got the Americana red one. It’s gorgeous, it heats the full pot of water in about 5 min, it’s quiet and it auto shuts off when it’s done. I like the thermometer b/c I don’t always need the water to be fully boiled, and I can see what temp it is before I manually shut down the pot. The inside is 100% steel, no plastic components whatsoever. The spout is fine, it doesn’t drip. I’ve only had it for a week, so I can’t speak to the longevity of this kettle, but so far, it’s been perfect.

there is much to love about this kettle. I love that it automatically turns itself off when it gets to boiling, so i dont burn down my house if i turn it on and then forget about it. i love the red color, it matches my kitchen. i love the size, it isnt enormous but i can make several cups of tea with one batch. i love the thermometor on it, so i can choose the correct temperature for the type of tea i'm having. really easy to use, so far after having had it a few months, no issues. i love this kettle!!!

I’ve had this kettle for a little over three weeks. I’ve been using it 2-4 times a day and have had no issues whatsoever. I like how the water boils in just a few minutes. The container doesn’t get hot on the outside yet the water stays hot for a good while even after it shuts off (auto shutoff works well). This kettle is super easy to use. Works as intended. I am very pleased with this purchase. I certainly recommend it!

Great functional and safe kettle with some style.i got the red kettle with handle on the side.The exterior is plastic but the inner is all non-plastic and stainless steel like. no greenish or dark water spots appeared after my first couple boiling comparing other two unsuccessful purchases.it boils water quick.it auto shut after reaching the heat. safe.it is safe cool touch around the plastic exterior and handle.it is non-plastic interior, so non toxic, free of BPA.Size is ample for family but not too heavy.vintage Style.The only con of this kettle to me is the look. The vintage style is great but the plastic material looks cheap and i received a minor scratched one. Try to avoid the return and restocking hassles for the biz, so im keeping it. The color choice is limited to red. hope it comes with other vintage colors. But compared to other fancy looking but toxic or dangerous kettles, this one is a great buy.

I read many reviews of many electric tea kettles to replace mine that broke. I wanted an easy to clean electric kettle that had a method for reading the temperature and I obviously wanted a device that wouldn’t break or rust quickly. I’ve used this kettle multiple times daily for a week and here’s my review:Pros:Easy to clean, wide opening and lid flips up to almost a 90 degree angleStainless steal internal canister is a solid piece, no seams and I see no rust anywhere. Inner lid and spout is entirely stainless steel as wellCool to touch as advertisedEasy to read temperature gauge for all your hot water needsVery light when empty, and not too heavy in generalCons:Taller than my last kettle so a bit harder to fillOnce you get the kettle to temperature and turn it off it loses heat through the spout, it does not keep the kettle at the stopped temperature very long.You cannot see how much water is left in kettle without opening itYou have to watch the kettle to stop it if you want the water less than boiling, it auto shuts off once water boils (this doesn’t bother me but it may be a con for some)It looks and feels cheap, but it is so hey!Overall very happy with this kettle. I prefer seeing the temperature of the water myself. Even though it loses a little heat pretty fast, you know what temperature the water is so just turn it on again for a few seconds. Others said water spills out the top when pouring, I haven’t had this issue at all. The longevity of this kettle is yet to be determined but again, I like it!Update: I still use the kettle nearly every day 2 years later and it continues to work incredibly well, no rust, no issues at all.

Love, love, love this. It's all stainless on the inside. It's a good size and heats water fast. Has a handy little thermometer on the front, so I can "warm" up water if I'm making bread. Very easy to clean with just a little vinegar. I bought one for my parents and we have an extra that we travel with because it's pretty sturdy and I don't have to worry about breaking glass or cracking plastic.

The top snapped off from the handle within a month. There’s a piece of cheap plastic you can’t see that’s inside the piece lifts the lid to where you add water (between the handle press button and lid) that broke in half making the entire unit un-returnable & not usable. It is nice retro look but not worth it at all. VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED
