Improvements Aid Gameplay And Adds More Fun
To really appreciate this game you have to go back and play "The Umbrella Chronicles". The one thing I hated about the original game was the difficulty in performing headshots. In "The Darkside Chronicles", the headshots are easier and look better than the original. I feel like I'm in the "Dawn Of The Dead" or "The Walking Dead". It's gooey, gory fun. There's also a new feature that targets the enemies at the touch of a button on the nunchuck just below the menu button. That's convenient for me since I got killed numerous times in the original, because of the hordes of monsters that would come at me and not being able to target them all fast enough. Being able to collect the green herbs and not have to use them right away is a plus. Why use the green herb if you don't have to right away? Yes, the camera is alittle jerky, but I think that adds to the excitement a la "Diary Of The Dead" directed by George A. Romero. Try running with the camera and see how steady the picture is when you play it back. The only time it is noticably jerky is when they run. The graphics are better and the montage of former games upgraded makes me nostalgic. The only thing is I want more. I hope they do a game based on "Resident Evils" 4 and 5! This is a really good game!

Better the 2nd time around
The first RE shooter game on Wii was pretty decent, if not just a typical on-rails shooter. The sequel, however, ups the ante with better graphics, a more cohesive flow to the narrative, and an overall more enjoyable experience than the first. The "shaky-cam" that has been the subject of many reviews and previews can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Yes, it can be irritating when you can't line up shots properly because the camera starts acing up, but on the other hand it adds a sense of panic and realism to the experience and makes you feel like you're right in on the action. If you stick with it, you'll get used to it and appreciate the package more. Another great Wii game and highly recommended!

AWESOME!
I have this game and it is much better than the umbrella chronicles. Everything has been improved. Graphics, cutscenes, gameplay, and awesome bonus features. People have been saying that the camera angle distracts from the game. IT DOES NOT. It even makes it more fun by adding suspense. Kind of like a thriller. Overall, this game is VERY fun. I have been a diehard Resident Evil fan since I was first introduced to the playstation Resident Evil Director's Cut way back when. I even own all the Resident Evil titles for the Nintendo Gamecube. So you are speaking to someone who knows something about Resident Evil. And I can say this is one of the best Resident Evil games I've ever played. It's true to the material and worth it.

Like being in a horror movie
Here is the deal on this game...If you liked Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it is the same style of game. It's a shoot the screen while having the character's point of view. I LOVED Umbrella Chronicles. This game has crisper graphics, and far better sound effects. If you get motion sickness easily, DO NOT get this game. In your character's POV, there IS running, so the screen bounces around. Head shots are fun with the pistol as your weapon, the top halves of the zombie heads come off making a gory mess. Scary sound effects and even your wii remote making "reloading" noises is neat. Some people don't like the fact that you can't "run around yourself", but I think if all you have to worry about is aiming and shooting, it's pretty fun, and you will never get lost during a level. Nothing will ever beat RE4 in my opinion, but this game has that feel as if you are the character him or herself.

Resident Evil :Darkside Chronicles - buy this instead of Umbrella Chronicles!
This game was great! Shipping from Amazon was awesome and came within the day. Fantastic!Don't make the same mistake I did when I ordered. I ordered UC (Umbrella Chronicles hereafter) first, but this game is heads and shoulders better than UC! The storyline, and gameplay overall. At the end of each chapter I pulled off an S for headshots nearly everytime, and had an S-A rating at the end of each chapter, whereas in UC I was lucky to get a C and even a couple of headshots. Visually, the game is very nice looking, I do think in certain aspects UC is better visually, but that's me personally. Overall, great looking for a Wii game! Tons of fun on multiplayer!I would highly recommend this title!-Justin

Good Game, I liked Umbrella Chronicles slightly better
When I saw the preview for Darkside Chronicles, I wanted to get it before I finished Umbrella Chronicles. The graphics and the dialogue were definitely better in my opinion. The "shaky cam" made it suspenseful and tough to shoot at times but didn't ruin it for me. The story was really, really nicely done. I liked the darkness, counter attacks, shooting, and boss fights better in Umbrella Chronicles. I just knew I was going to like this game better. But, when I finished playing, I had to give UC a slight edge. It all depends on your taste. I would get both games again.

Hard to believe... but for real
This game, like a few selected other titles for the Wii, proves that a video-game is poor/excellent in accordance to the programmers will to make it! The game is really awesome and graphically surprising considering Wii's video out. Perhaps, if other software houses were more respectfull to us, the consumers, and focused not only in profits but in high-end results many other Wii games would have graphically phantastic results. It's a nice adventure in railing-shooter format. A pitty the script leads the character I like the most in the game to death... It's a must-have game for the Wii and a well-done chapter for the Resident Evil saga.

Worst Game Ever
This game was terrible. I bought it because it was a two player game, and I really was hoping that it would be something that my husband and I could play together. I was so disappointed that I couldn't move. I thought that I would get to explore, and do missions, but no such luck. It was all mindless shooting. You don't even need the nun-chuck just sit, point, and shoot.
