Loud
I use these to control my dogs when they are incessantly barking. I would never quell my dog’s barking totally bc that’s their language and it’s natural to bark but incessant behavior must be controlled or else they would bark for hours. The whistle is v loud and can be heard 1 mile away. My dogs come to me immediately and stop barking when I blow it. The whistle is deafening if blown at full force. Never blow this at full force close on anyone or any animal or you could cause hearing loss or blown ear drum. Use ear protection when using at full force. These are the same whistles NFL coaches and refs use. Loud!

Loudness
The last time I used a fox40 was 10 years agoAnd my memory was that they were loud.The ones I got recently have a sound and level that doesn’t meet my expectations

Meh, just ok
Nothing to write home about. Cheap whistle. Works well enough, but takes quite a bit of effort to get anything more than a medium "squeak" out of it, and if you blow too hard, which is easy to do to try to get a loud "whistle" from it, it almost doesn't whistle. I'd give 2 and 1/2 stars if a could. Can make work but wouldn't buy again.

This whistle is Loud and also comfortable for the lips
My husband is a referee and this whistle brand is highly recommended by him and other professionals . It is strongly made therefore it last all season. We highly recommend this brand. It comes in a pack of 3. Nice gift for a spouse or dad who referee. Show him you ordered the best for him.
