Works for me
It’s big but not thick enough to block out light. Works well as long as you set it up properly. Need a steamer to remove wrinkles if you plan to move it around a lot. Folds up small enough to fit in a bag to take on locations.

gray is nice and thick material
I bought the gray color. it's a very nice dark gray color. much better than I expected. the material is nice and sturdy. it did come wrinkled but that was expected. anything that is shipped will come either wrinkled or with ripples. even vinyl comes rolled up and takes a long time to get those "ripples" straighten out...if ever. just use a steam ironer or a regular ironer. we used an ironer and took the time to get the wrinkles out. 10x12 was a great size. for $30 you can't beat that for this size and quality. one side is "shiner" than the other. we used the back side since it was more matted.

This works great with my existing backdrop stands
I purchased the gray color and it looks great once it is hung up. I see a lot of people saying its too thin, but I can't figure out what they're talking about. Much thicker than a sheet. Also have seen a lot of comments about it being wrinkled and not being able to get it unwrinkled. I threw it into the dryer with a damp dish towel on low for 15 minutes, then hung it up and steamed it from the back side (shiny side) it looks perfect. No wrinkles, no complaints and was MUCH less expensive than a lot of drops out there. Would highly recommend.

Not the darkest of blacks, good quality for the money.
Although the cloth is black, in some shots it appears more gray, probably depends on the brightness of your lighting. Other than that, its a really good quality screen, but I recommend ironing it before first use.

Great for behind my backdrop
I actually used this for behind my backdrop to add extra thickness so light won’t shine through. It was easy to set up with and did such an amazing job. When people walk behind my backdrop this hides all the imperfections perfectly and makes it look professional. I’ll be buying more!

Does its job as well as any other
Fantastic! Yeah it's a thin fabric so don't put it in front of windows (unless you want that effect), but then again you could shine a light from behind this and create a cool vignette probably. It came folded and I spent an hour or so ironing it and that still didn't get all the folds out completely, but I was just lighting a subject in front of it with no light on the background itself at all, and with the contrast it just came out flat black. A steamer would probably be better. I've hung it up now with some weight on it to see if I can pull the wrinkles out that way. I'd like to store it either on a roll somehow, or I'll just keep it on the stand I bought. If you just need a background to make the space behind your subject black and void-y, this'll do the trick, for a great price.

Perfect
When I ordered this I did so with the understanding that it may be a bit thin but boy oh boy this was actually perfect. The material felt really really nice. And it worked wonderfully for the video shoot we used it for. We decided to put grommets in it to hang it up and it's honestly perfect. Good job Neewer you keep surprising me.

Good backdrop, painfully sheer and light shows through the gray one VERY clearly and easily.
This is a review for the gray Neewer 10x12 backdrop. I've had good luck with Neewer products before, needed a dove gray backdrop, so I ordered this one. It has a nice sleeve at the top, it's well made, but as others have stated, this thing is VERY sheer. I was quite surprised at how sheer actually. It's not extremely lightweight, it just seems to be too big of a fabric weave which lets too much light through from behind. If you're using this by itself and you have any light sources behind it, they're going to come through. You can double it and it works fine, but then, you've got half the size you ordered. You can put it atop a black or white backdrop, and once again, everything's fine, but, for the price, I expected a backdrop that could couldn't see through with ease, and flashes and softboxes just seem to make the problem worse. I'll be using this one with a black backdrop behind it.
