American Outdoor Products Astronaut Ice Cream, Chocolate Chip (Pack of 10)

Tastes good, just like you'd expect of chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips. It has a consistency very much like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms. Unfortunately EVERY. SINGLE. BLOCK. arrived completely crushed to smithereens, despite adequate padding and the box arriving in good condition. I suspect it was packaged for shipment already in this condition. Not at all ideal for the plans I had for it at my son's Buzz Lightyear birthday party. That is the sole reason I'm only giving it 3 stars, otherwise it's exactly as I expected it would be, and would've gotten 5 stars. If you know you'll likely get crushed astronaut ice cream and that will fit your purposes, I'd still order this product, but if getting solid blocks of ice cream (about 4"x4"x1" when intact) matters to you AT ALL, you'll def want to purchase elsewhere or maybe in a retail location where you can feel whether the blocks are broken before you buy them.

Gotta love freeze dried ice cream. I know it's hard to transport, but it would have been nice if they were a bit more intact.Made a freeze dried ice cream cake with ganache. It softened the ice cream so it was chewy, and made a fun themed dessert.

Especially appreciated by troops deployed to desert environments during long hot summers!Pros:- taste is great, like real ice cream (but less wet)- requires absolutely no refrigeration- adequate expiration dates survive delayed shipping- I can imagine this working great for children wanting ice cream in the back of a car and parents not wanting to clean drips off of the seats afterwardsCons:- none reallySuggestions:- could be made in greater variety of flavors- packaging a little bulky, an issue only if product is being shipped

One of the best freese dried foods out there. Delicious. I usually get the Neopolitan, but decided ordered the chocolate chip by accident. It is very good. There are not many chips, but it is still really tasty if you like astronaut ice cream.I still prefer the variety of the Neopolitan, especialy when buying a 12 pack, but I have no complaints about the quality of the chocolate chip.

Kinda tasty as a novelty food but at about $2.50 for a 4"x 4"x 1" piece of food in one (albeit nice looking) package makes it rather pricey. Also after eating about 4 of them in the box of 10 it got rather tasty boring.

The Astronaut Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips tasted very good. I would have given this item a 5 star except for one problem. The paper wrapped in all of the items were ripped and the ice cream were in pieces. Thus the but!

they tasted great. package was easy to opened. Great for kids in the car.

It has a chocolate taste to be sure. However it's a little odd if you have never had Astronaut ice cream before.
