HEIMDALL Emergency Whistle with Lanyard for Safety Boating Camping Hiking Hunting Survival Rescue Signaling

We ordered these for our family for a recent camping trip. We all like to go our own ways at times and because there was no cell service where we were going, we thought these would be a good way to let each other know where we were. We did not need them on our trip, but we all really liked having them. And they are really LOUD!

I ordered these to use when I walk in our community which has lots of scrub land that have coyotes and bobcats. They give a nice, loud sound to deter the local wildlife if needed.

Piercingly loud, strong, plastic whistles with a cord that is long enough to attach to your gear. They should last for a long time. I keep one in my backpack and one on my life vest for kayaking. The others are gifts for friends.

I really like the quality cord on these whistles. I had previously ordered two similar whistles with cheap, string-like cords--both slipped off the life vests they were attached to and were lost after only a couple uses. These are worth the extra money.

This whistle is okay for an alert but it is not as loud as I had expected. I once had another of the slim design with two ports that was much louder.I assumed that the cord was elastic with a sliding clasp. It is not so it is of limited use.I'll keep these now that I have them but I won't buy them again or recommend them.

Good quantity & quality for the price. I have a couple to stash in my gear plus they make a thoughtful little gift to help keep loved ones safer in their adventures.They will sound even if wet. Good heads up for letting any bear know I’m coming along. I really don’t want to surprise any freaky wildlife & sometimes singing gets old.

Bought this product for my 4 yo who has developed a fear of the dark and being alone in a room. She can use it when she feels afraid and its easy for her to blow and make a loud whistle. However, she’s 4 and just wants to use it all the time, much to our chagrin LOL. Came on time, simple design. Will likely use the 2nd one on hiking and camping trips.

Since there has been so much building and clearcutting in this area, the coyotee's have been running down the streets confused. (since their homes have been either disturbed or destroyed) When they get too close to the house, this whistle works Great! They scatter!
