Batiste Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair, 3.81 oz

My brown hair gets greasy easily. This product helps me make it through a third day without washing. The pleasant scent is mild.

I am in my mid 30's...with medium/dark brown, long, and fine hair.....but lately my front section seems to be a a bit more thinner. And so my pale Irish/German heritage pale scalp shows more now. I literally had to wash it every day for volume. Then I used my sunglasses up there to hide the thinner part a bit more.(kinda just like Sammie does from the Jersey Shore tv show. Well, she does that when she doesn't have her fake hair piece in that is, lol) I too thought about buying a hair piece but I wanted something to work constantly.I had received a free sample of dry shampoo and I liked how it helped on my off wash days and it really did thicken that front area up. But it didn't do what I wanted like tinting my fine hair to help hide my white scalp better.Thank goodness I came across this! I had no clue that there were tinted versions out there. I read up on quality and this one had some of the best ratings for the price.I can now honestly say that this stuff ROCKS!Yes, the lower rated reviews are correct, as this is tinted folks and it will put some color onto your walls or forehead(especially if your not careful and spray it too close;)I was actually scared at first use because the deep brown actually gives a ashy/greyish brown cast "at first"..... but then all I had to do was rub my hands and brush through and it ended up blending in so perfectly.Also, as most dry shampoos, this is a bit dulling and I highly recommend using a quick light spray of a glossy finishing spray.I think that once I finish this bottle(which will be forever as I only need to use like 2-3 quick bursts)I might buy the Medium Brown shade and see if it might have a bit more of a golden dark brown to it.I am just so relieved that this makes my hair look like it used to! Oh, and it does bot really build up too bad if used for a few days!I also LOVE that this stuff does not really cover the scalp(like a lot of bald fillers I have read do) to hide the thinness.It just gives my strands fullness with a slight tint and it looks amazing and sexy again! lol!I just really do wish that I would have heard/found out about this stuff a few years ago!

I have to say that Batiste is the BEST Dry Shampoo in my Opinion. I will not say that I have tried dozens, because I haven't, I have tried 3 different brands, and I fell in love with Batiste, no need to keep hunting!Let me start by saying that I have very fine, greasy/oily hair. I always heard people talk about not washing their hair everyday, and I thought they were gross haha! I just always assumed everyone had greasy hair. I started doing some research, because come on, the idea of not washing my hair meant not taking as long to get ready for work in the morning!I first tried Herbal Essensses Envy Dry Shampoo, and it was not a very good experience for me. I have dark brown hair, and that particular Dry Shampoo made my hair look like I get attacked by a bag of flour! Not to mention it felt so dry and stiff at the roots I could not even run my hands through my hair, I ended up putting it in a pony tail for the 2 days I used it. I guess this would be a good Dry Shampoo if you want to texture your hair because whatever way you do it, it stays that way all day!I didn't give up though, what works for some may not work for others has always been my philosophy, so next, after some research, I tried Rockaholic by Tigi. This is actually a dry shampoo that I still use and I actually do like it. I would recommend this one! It gets my hair feeling not oily, smelling good and not stiff. The only downside, and I think it may be a bottling issue, is that I've had some bottles that leave my hair a little grayish which makes it look dull. I'm not sure like I said if its the bottle or the product mix, because there are some that leave my hair looking exactly as brown as I have it.Enter Batiste, I ordered it out of curiosity because I saw a review online that said it was the best! I agree!!! Batiste has all the benefits that I find in the Rockaholic, except it has one extra plus I don't get from Rockaholic. It makes my hair feel sooooo soft and smooth, it feels like I just washed it. It smells very good too! I ordered the dark colored one and no white spots or grayish looking hair! This is a keeper for me!I think the problem with some people is that they do not know how to properly use dry shampoo. I was one of those, here is what I do. On days I don't wash, I spray my hair with the Dry Shampoo - On the Roots, with the bottle about a 1 ft to 1.5 ft from my head. Make sure to grab your hair and almost pull up, so that you expose the root areas. I then clip my hair up and get in the shower - I never brush my hair immediately after I spray it on. When I get out of the shower, I take my hair clip out and I massage my roots, to spread the dry shampoo then I brush my hair out and style it as wanted. That's it!So moral of this long review - If you want soft, shiny, like just washed feeling hair - Batiste is the best!!!
