Very sticky
Extremely sticky but had no issue peeling off the paper backing. If you're having those issues, maybe you have old stock. Once the glue side touches something, that's it it's stuck. You get one chance to stick them, otherwise it rips off from the glue. Although it is very thin, it seems like a good sound dampener especially if used with other foam and dampening products. Metal tape sticks to it just fine.

Apply over foil backed butyl rubber to reduce heat and noise. Does not absorb water.
I applied this over a foil backed butyl rubber pad on the floor (under the carpet) of my car. It sticks well and is easy to mold around the contours. The Noico Red layer helps some with noise but mostly with heat transfer, keeping the car cooler when traveling over hot roadways. Next I applied a layer of mass loaded vinyl to block noise from the road. Made a big difference to my ear in a 2017 Subaru Outback. Follow these steps for your car's floor: 1) layer of foil backed butyl rubber, 2) layer of Noico Red closed cell foam, 3) layer of mass loaded vinyl. Reinstall carpet and seats. The three layers are not thick enough to disturb the way the carpet lays on the floor. This can also be used inside car doors to stop vibration noises, too. There are many YouTube videos available to teach you how to do this.

Nice for van conversions
I bought 5 boxes of this to wrap a medium height ford transit van conversion. 3 boxes never showed up but Amazon handled it. I used all 5 boxes. It was the perfect amount. It took me roughly 30 hours to finish but I didn't have alot of panels to take off and I wasn't speeding through it.On heat: It does a good job at handling heat but it also insulates well. On hot days I'll notice the outside temp is way hotter than the inside. I'll feel the roof of the van and it will be hot but the insulation will be warm. For a van you are still going to want to find shade but you can be comfortable in the sun longer to use your solar panels. On sound: I was disappointed by the sound deadening as far as hearing outside noises. I could still hear stuff going on around me but it was all a little bit lower. As an example I can no longer hear people walking around me(noisy strollers too) but I can hear them talking if they are 5 feet away from me. It did positively change the way audio sounded in the cargo area because before it had metal echo sound. It also reduced the outside sound heard, coming from the inside.Final thoughts: Don't use this as your sole sound insulation. I'm probably going to have to get the 315 and use it tactically around the van for better sound deadening.

Classic car insulation
Always a good product. Used in several cars. Best if used with the 80mil sound insulation as well. Delivered quickly

Pretty solid for the price
I decided to do all new carpet in my mazda miata, my buddy told me about this stuff and i just HAD to try it!I ordered two boxes (one is enough for a miata) i did two to three layers and all i have to say is WOW, the amount of noise i would hear from inside the car was crazy since it’s so low (seen in the second picture) now i can hear everything including the things i don’t want to hear but in a way that’s good, i would have no idea right now that my back right axel is getting ready to snap if i didn’t do the sound deadening! It’s pretty easy to install, i would recommend doing a dry fit, then cut it to size. this stuff is super sticky so make sure you place it where you want cause there’s no going back!one last thing i have to say about this stuff is the cooling, if i remember correctly i did three layers on the transmission tunnel and the carpet will literally still be cool which is great for me because i hate being hot.over all this stuff is pretty great for such a low price, i’m not audio professional so i couldn’t tell ya if it was good for that but i honestly think it would!

Know what you are getting, and you won't be disappointed.
Don't buy this to reduce engine / road noise in the cabin. Do buy this to improve the quality of the sound system. It raises the natural resonance of the panels you apply it to. Basically, if you have a large, unsupported section of panel (think like drumhead), apply this to the middle. The added mass and lower transmissibility helps that section vibrate less when your woofers are pounding at lower frequencies.I did all four doors, the back wall, and over the transmission on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma (while also installing new speakers all around). I also used the Noico insulating foam over the sound deadening mat at all locations. This takes some serious time! It took two days to do the entire job. Use cardboard templates on the doors to make work easier (mirror / flip the templates for the other side of the car). Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol prior to adhering. Buy a roller. Wear gloves. In my experience, sound quality was drastically improved, allowing me to turn the volume all the way up without distortion or rattle, even on the bass-iest of songs (partially due to the new speakers). More reasonably, I can now run my sound system at around 30% volume, and virtually all road noise is drowned out. Prior to this, I could still hear road and engine noise while cruising, even with the volume maxed out. Without the stereo on, it makes the vehicle feel more "sound" or "stable" (hard to explain). All in all, if you are down to invest the time and effort to install this (significant), and understand what you will be getting out of it, you will find it worthwhile. The quality is every bit of the higher end products, at a price point that makes it worth doing.
