Un Flic (Special Edition) aka Dirty Money [Blu-ray]

Though not quite as classic as his "Le Samourai" or "Le Cercle Rouge", Jean Pierre Melville's final film is a cool cops & robbers heist flick with the great casting of Alain Delon, Catherine Denueve and Richard Crenna to top it off... Kino's HD release is a good one that also includes some great supplemental material.

Dated, but I love Melville’s color scheme. Ocean towns in winter...

As usual very boring film is French, is their nature I bought it old film of Alain Delon and Catherine Deneuve

The helicopter tracking the train looks ridiculous. Why repeat do much of those obvious models? Is Richard Crenna speaking English being dubbed in French then subtitled back into English . If so - why? A plot that makes no sense. I like Melville!

Despite the mix of French and English stars, this one falls flat. Plot holes galore, a detective who needs no clues to solve crimes, and no apparent characterization whatsoever. Even Deneuve's beauty, for the 2 or three minutes she's on screen, can't save this doomed flick. The best scene is the opening bank robbery and then it just dies a slow death. Save your money.
