Love the movie but this DVD was no good
Was a big fan of the TV series and enjoyed the movie a lot, although the audio on this DVD is abysmal! No clue what was happening there. Also some scenes where missing (not found in the "deleted scenes" either)??? Have returned this and will get a digital copy instead.

Played out - worn out
The several series of this saga was enjoyable, but predictable. The "Up stairs down stairs" theme has been done to death before, perhaps not as well as Downton. I have heard people say that as a saga it was nothing more than "Coronation Street in posh frocks" The film was obviously popular but pure fantasy, a neat conclusion to the series which really was a "chocolate box " view, but not of the real world. Toffs and serfs don't mix.

Lovely Downton film
Very amusing plotIn which British Lion makes a silent movie at the house while most of the family go to the south of France. Lovely photography. If you love the TV series, you should love this.
