This 3 piece. Set is made of abs. The major benefits of this material - it is extremely lightweight, it is durable, and protects the contents of your luggage. Eight multi directional spinner wheels rotate 360 degrees for easy maneuverability. This luggage allows you to pack more while avoiding the excess weight surcharges imposed by most airlines. Features: expandable multi-directional spinner wheels for easy maneuverability modern internal chrome telescoping handle with push button handle. Interior mesh and zip pocket and elastic pocket. Measures: 20 inch x13 inch x9 inch weighs 6 lbs., 24 inch x15 inch x10 inch weights 8 lbs., 28 inch x17 inch x12 inch weighs 10 lbs. Review: Had these for almost two years and have been great - Basic luggage, at a good price and has held up to the airlines, cruises, and a lot of trips. Still going strong. Review: Love the size variation and durability! - I used the large suitcase and the carry on suitcase for a recent week long trip with 2 people. I love how each suitcase comes with a separator between the sides that you can zip up as well as the “seatbelt” on the other side that I used to hold my clothes down. This video was taken after I used them so there are some dings on the large suitcase from having TSA handle it when flying. The suitcase weighed 48 pounds so I was nervous for the wheels to break off or the hard outer shell to crack like many other suitcases would and this one didn’t! The dings don’t bother me and you can barely see them. They might even be from me since I was throwing the suitcase around from it being so heavy! Even though it was as heavy as it was, the wheels glided so smoothly both on carpet and hard floor/concrete. This made my traveling very smooth as I didn’t have to leave anything behind from it being too heavy for myself to carry. I personally didn’t use the locks that it came with (one for each suitcase) but im glad that I have them for next time. I also just love the look of the suitcase. It’s nice and sleek and I feel like not a lot of people have this kind so it was easy to find in baggage claim. Lastly, I love how each suitcase fits nicely inside the other for easier storage. I live in a small apartment and this will fit nicely in my storage closet! Definitely recommend!

Great Build, Great Price
I recently got the Rockland Melbourne 28″ checked suitcase, and for the price, it’s been an incredible value. As someone who travels a lot for work, I didn’t want to splurge on high-end designer luggage, but I also needed something reliable — this checks a lot of boxes. Lightweight: It’s surprisingly light for a large checked bag, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to maximize your weight allowance. Spacious: The 28″ size plus the expandable zipper gives me plenty of room for long trips, and I can really pack in a lot. Smooth Wheels: The spinner wheels glide easily across terminals, which saves energy when I’m rushing through airports. Good Build for Price: The shell feels sturdy enough for regular travel, and the internal organization (mesh pocket + straps) helps me keep things tidy. *some users report cracks in the shell, especially after more aggressive baggage handling. So far, this has not been an issue, but I could see this happening. Again, I've had no issues and am quite happy. Overall, I like it a lot and will definitely buy more of these for my luggage rotation.

Great product, timely delivery
Size= 5 stars I'll preface my review by saying my wife has only traveled once with this luggage set. However, I chose them because other luggage at a comparable price range were not as big. Since these suit cases extend, they are quite roomy. My wife packed all of her stuff and our 2yr & 3yr old's stuff into the biggest piece of luggage. It was only a 1 week get away, but I was amazed that I only had to haul one case. Functionality=5 stars The wheel's, handles, extendable handles, and latches all seem to work great. Again, I have not had these for long, so I cannot say they will stand the test of time, but overall construction seems sturdy. Appearance=5 Stars While I don't care for pink, I knew my wife would love them. I agree with all the reviews I have read, they are easy to spot among the myriad of other suit cases at an airport. They are attractive and simple, yet they stand out quite well. Sturdiness=4 Stars This is the only area where I will mark the suitcases down. I had never had a hard shell suit case before, but I guess I just assumed it was a really hard shell. In my mind, only a hard shell would allow for stacking, cramming, and the many other activities which take up the life of a suit case. While the surface seems pretty scratch resistant, the outer shell has some flexibility. I might just not know enough about suit cases, but when I put this on the bottom of our luggage pile, it bowed in. I panicked since this was brand new, and I quickly placed this suit case on the top of the pile. No damage had been done, and the case returned to its normal shape instantly, but it still didn't seem like the best thing to have a hard case that flexes. I could be wrong. Either way, I never intend to put these luggage pieces on the bottom of the pile. Would they be fine if I did put them on the bottom of a pile and drove for hours with the outer cases bowed in? Perhaps. Maybe they are supposed to bow and they always return to their normal shape. I would just hate to find out that these things bow in and reach a breaking point. The good news is, you could probably just stuff it full and eliminate the trouble of it bowing in. Overall, great product, just with the one area of caution.

I absolutely love the color! It is a rich colored purple just like in their picture. It held up great on two flights. I didn’t use the largest on my trip. The carry-on fit perfectly in the overhead. The medium case held a lot. It weighed with my items #38 (pounds not hashtag LOL) I was able to roll them at the same time with no issues.

FINAL UPDATE!!!! UPDATE: VERY DISAPPOINTED! Great value if you can neutralize the odor
FINAL UPDATE!!! This is my final update! I just limped my way back from a wonderful Alaskan Cruise praying the entire return leg flying from Anchorage to Seattle to home in Albuquerque and hoping my belongings wouldn’t be strewn all over the airplane or baggage loading! I gave this second “replacement” Rockland hardside a chance after having to have the original purchased item replaced twice. Once for an extremely offensive odor from a bad batch of plastic and then again for cracks that appeared when the case had not been used, but had just been stored in my closet. I trusted Rockland and now regret that decision. It was not pleasant to have to worry if the duct tape provided by Princess Cruises would hold, but it did thank goodness! I should give the duct tape a good review! We limped our way back and the duct tape held! The large suitcase of the set of three is going to the recycle bin and I will not be seeking a replacement at a cost to me of $40 more dollars!!!!! Buyer beware! I thought I had sufficiently researched before I spent my fixed income dollars on luggage! Apparently I made the wrong decision! I hope you don’t have the same bad experience i did!! ORIGINAL REVIEWS! I will say the Rockland Customer Service Department is helpful! My thanks to “Rep 1” for assisting me with the returns. As I stated earlier, I purchased the original three piece set from Amazon’s Warehouse. The rating was good and I had previously purchased items from the Warehouse and saved quite a bit of money. Unfortunately this purchase was a big mistake! The odor of the luggage was irritating and never went away! I see now that this was an indication of a bad batch of plastic which becomes hard and brittle with time! But, like I said, I had thrown away the packaging! The 28” cracked from the weight of the two smaller cases just being stored inside. For $40, Rockland replaced the large case. I should have returned all three! A year later, I find that the 20” has cracked just from being stored! And the 24” showed signs of cracking. For another $40, Rockland Customer Service has now replaced the remaining two cases. So I did not really save any money. Probably in the end, after paying an additional $40 twice for “warranty” replacements, I paid more than I would have paid by just paying full price. I am disappointed in myself for not immediately returning the smelly luggage, disappointed in Rockland for selling a bad batch of luggage to begin with, and disappointed in Amazon Warehouse workers for rating the smelly suitcases as “like new!” I have a cruise with family coming up in July, which will be the first major test of this replacement luggage. Please cross your fingers for me that these replacement cases hold up and I don’t end up kicking myself for giving Rockland another chance! I am more than disappointed with this luggage. I actually got rid of a perfectly good set of luggage to “upgrade” to this hard side set. It has been stored since purchase a year ago and when I pulled it out to pack for a trip to my daughter’s, I saw a small piece of plastic on the floor. Upon further inspection I found that simply storing them with small inside the larger case, apparently it was too much stress and the plastic on the larger case had actually split! I have contacted the manufacturer since it is supposed to have a five year warranty and it was purchased just a year ago but never really used util now. I will update this review if I receive a positive response from the manufacturer! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this set a few weeks ago and unfortunately I discarded the damaged packaging as soon as it arrived; otherwise I probably would have returned the suitcases. I have been trying to neutralize the odor from the lining ever since they arrived. The chemical smell was overwhelming. I had to leave them outside on my balcony because the chemical smell was so strong. I have aired them out, sprayed the linings with Febreeze, aired them out some more, sprayed them again, repeat, repeat. The odor has finally gotten fainter and I now have charcoal packets in each in the hopes that the chemical smell goes away. I can’t believe the set I received is the only one with the strong overpowering smell. Please read all of the reviews before you purchase this set of luggage. If you do not have the time to devote to trying to eliminate the chemical smell, I would recommend purchasing another brand. At any rate, don’t be so hasty to throw the packaging away! You may need it to return these smelly suitcases!

Quite sturdy
This suitcase is very nice. True to the size, 28inches. Good space, and has that extra zip for space. It is sturdy. Easy to use, with firm handle and the wheels function well.

Well made and very good deal.
These are great suitcases. Not too heavy and rolls very fluidly. Bought the carryone for my wife last year and she loved it so much, she asked for the full set this year. Well worth the money.
