It contains a thorough framework (including scientific basis of how your brain actually works) on how you should approach getting organized and gives very good examples for each level. I have read the book really quick as it is easy and fun to read and I think in a couple of months I'll read it again, just to make sure I'm following all the advices they've given. Better than any other book I've read on this topic, as this book only (at least for the books I've read) gives you a scientific framework with good pointers on how to use the insight to your own benefit, instead of explaining an (often arbitrary) method on getting organized invented by some kind of guru (which often completely bypasses the logic of your brain). Safe investment of both your time and money. Review: One of the better self help books I have read - This book has a good blend of theory and practical. In contrast to many books that have only one or two original ideas, this presents several useful hints. It is well organised and very readable. The references and notes are an added bonus.

This book has theories to get organize instead of steps
This a good book which tells you some scientific research about brain functioning, and tales of some clients who had problems but when they followed the instructions of writers, they saw major changes in their lives.

Sadly, I cannot seem to finish reading this book....
It's ironic, but unless and until I put into practice what this author is telling me, this book does me little good. I am currently struggling against a combination of inertia and habit. However, that being said...it is well thought out and a very well executed book. I applaud M. Moore for her clarity of thought, the complete simplicity she brings to what seems overwhelming to many of us, and especially the readability factor. I strongly suggest that anyone who knows they need to get organized begin by purchasing this book. Then, ACT ON IT!

For my personality this book was great.
This book really resonated with me and I found it very easy to incorporate what they said. As noted in other reviews this book is broken into six areas or rules. Examples are included for each rule by both authors as well as steps to take to help implement those rules. Now that I have completed it I want to read it again to see if I can more effectively incorporate everything. There are a lot of self help/organization books out there. This one is worth reading because it might resonate with you. If it does not that is ok, try something else. Just that process helps you improve.

No nugget there
The premise is good: tame the frenzy The partnership sounds good on paper: Harvard scientist + management consultant The delivery is unfortunately underwhelming: too many stories, too little science, too many platitudes, too long. We think in metaphors, so anchoring via stories works, until it becomes repetitive. It could have been summed up in a white paper, or in an article The reason why we keep searching is to find that little nugget that will trigger a shift in mindset and be a game changer. I did not find it here. I hope and wish You will. I am generally good public and refrain from writing bad reviews. My apologies to the authors

Understand and implement high-level, goal-oriented organization
High-level, goal-oriented organization. Very helpful to understand the aspects of our brains that both help and hinder high-level organization and productivity. I found the coaching tips good but some seem a bit basic. Overall, this book has helped me implement ideas to prioritize and stay focused.
