10/10 would highly recommend!!!
I absolutely love this book! I am very into motivation and principles to help people excel, and this is great! It's extremely well organized. There are quotes from well known geniuses, and applications for each. This helps show you little things you can train yourself to do every day that helps build who you are over time. It shows that the action to how you Work towards your goal is more important than your level of success. Very great examples and many easy to understand metaphors throughout. I would recommend this to anyone from 10-100. There are 170 pages including all index and intro related stuff. Not a hard book to read. It was written to help people Excel instead of giving up. The writer used his own experiences and interest as inspiration to help others! GIVE IT TO YOUR TEENAGERS AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO HAVE A GOAL TO PURSUE AND TO BECOME SOMEONE IN THE PROCESS OF PURSUING IT!!! (Don't forget to keep a copy for yourself. ;) Layout of the book: There are 29 principles. Each is a sort of chapter. It starts with the famous quote, and who it was by, and then lists geniuses who applied the principle of the quote. The next section in the "chapter" is "description of the principle" and then "benefits of the principle" followed by "How to apply the principle." Each is the same format, so it's very well organized. The pages are not crowded.

Genius compendium book
This book is well organized and well written. It has a structure. Every genius principle is described in a few points: general description, benefits and how to apply the principle. The reader know what to expect and it makes the reading experience smooth.I also vote for the principles the author included in the book. I did my own study about success and, no surprise here, all of the success principles are also the principles geniuses live in accordance with. Perseverance, constant self-education, taking care of one's health, the importance of human connections, inhuman consistency (habits!) and self-actualization were the things I discovered to be of importance if you want to achieve success. Robledo named them and several others, that could be included in above six as well. What I loved about this book was the emphasis on hard work and long-term approach.According to Robledo genius is more about hard work and much less about the spark of talent than most of us think. I recommend especially the chapter about intuition that indirectly states you need to put a crazy load of work first, before your intuition could be even born. That was perfect! The only drawback I see in "The Secret Principles of Genius" is the lack of personal touch that I so highly value in self-published works. However, with this kind of book, that is a roundup of principles, it was impossible to put any personal experience into it, especially that Robledo doesn't pretend to be a genius himself. The author skillfully compensate for that adding a lot of examples from geniuses' lives which makes the reader to learn by absorbing the human stories, rather than a dry knowledge.

Good book with good advice on how to apply your ...
Good book with good advice on how to apply your intellect more efficiently and in ways you may not have thought of before. The author obviously put in a lot of thought and time into researching this topic and created a good work on the subject. Each section should be read and thought about before moving on in order to let the message sink in. This book will not turn you into Matt Damon in "Good Will Hunting", or Bradley Cooper in "Limitless", but if you are a person of average intellect it can help show you some ways to improve your thinking and learning abilities.

To Fly Like an Eagle, Surround Yourself with Eagles, not Turkeys
Want to think like a genius? Take some of the 29 tips in the recent book by I. C. Robledo, The Secret Principles of Genius. He found them by studying the lives of great thinkers and doers, like Aristotle, DaVinci, Mozart, Tesla, Grace Hopper, Jackson Pollock and Prince (!), Einstein, Madame Curie, Buckminster Fuller, Steve Jobs et al.Well, we are not guaranteed to be elevated to such heights, but our thinking skills will be enhanced. The 29, BrieflyHere are Robledo’s 29 keys: using all your senses, exercising curiosity, adapting to change, seeking challenges, using vision and foresight, exploring your uniqueness, pursuing perfection, persevering, working hard, taking initiative, establishing your educational foundations, diving deeply into subjects, keeping a notebook handy, mastering some things, knowing the classics, seeking varied experience, making mental connections, asking questions, being objective, simplifying first, defining concepts clearly, looking for patterns, recognizing anomalies, performing analysis, looking for analogies, gaining other perspectives, listening to your intuition, maximizing your freedom, focus on a big problem. We’ll look at a few.Exercise Your CuriosityEinstein asked what the world would look like if he were moving at the speed of light, a question that led to his path-breaking theory of special relativity, and similar curiosity helped him produce his general theory of relativity.Biologist Alexander Fleming wondered why no bacteria grew near the mold colonies in his Petri dishes. Penicillin resulted.Strive for PerfectionHere I, tellingly, diverge from this catalog of the traits of geniuses. I am a “completionist” rather than a “perfectionist,” emphasizing getting the job done, rather than delaying until it is perfect. Many companies have embraced producing the “minimum viable product,” planning to tweak it later, as experience and the public tastes direct. Perhaps this is the conventional Windows computer versus the Apple. Both have succeeded, following different paths.Ideally, one would balance “get it right” against “get it out the door.”SimplifyTo understand something, take it to its basics. Why do stocks tend to fall if interest rates rise? Why did manufacturing towns arise by bodies of water? Trained as physicists, we often idealized a complicated shape by the “equivalent” sphere to get at the essentials.Keys to Insightful ThinkingI.C. Robledo’s fine book helps us stimulate our inner “genius.” We want to take advantage of some of these keys that rare geniuses have used and accelerate our own passage to wisdom.

Great read!
Just finished reading this and its jam-packed with useful information. As an avid reader myself (I usually have my head in 4-5 books simultaneously), and as someone committed to constant and never-ending improvement, the principles contained within are gems. Buy it.
