We are not band drummers, but I presume that this design is fantastic for that. We bought two to modify as the foundations for giant shoulder-mounted puppets, and these do a great job! The build is very sturdy. The design is very simple. If I would change anything, it would be the vinyl straps with clips, but that’s something that can be modified quite easily (which I did). Again, I don’t know anything about band drummers and I don’t know if this would be a good design for that kind of load in a parade or halftime, etc. but for the foundation of shoulder mounted puppets, this is a pretty good deal

Does NOT come with directions, and the video on this product is some kid saying he likes it. You can find a helpful video on another product, though. More importantly, it does NOT work on a regular snare drum. Maybe everyone knows that but me, but I wanted to use my kit snare in a parade, and it won't work. I'm going to return it.

It seems sturdy, but there weren’t any directions, and I’m not a drummer, so assembly was a bit challenging.

Shipment arrived faster than anticipated which helped my string band. But two separate occasions I contacted the seller about missing parts and an automated message was returned. I believe they may be from China and the communications barrier has something to do with it. It’s light weight yet sturdy and my band made them work to our advantage.
